“It’s law,” he said in an interview with CBS’ ‘60 Minutes’ that aired Sunday. “It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done.” “These cases have gone to the Supreme Court. They’ve been settled. And I’m – I’m fine with that,” he added.

“I do not know who is to blame and should be fired for the 60 Minutes ambush with Leslie Stahl on CBS.

“The Gateway Pundit has gone nuclear over Stahl making up charges against Trump supporters as racists and Mr. Trump telling people who do not exist to stop, but this is an event which should NEVER have taken place.”

A right that is found by a court can be unfound by another court.

This is why you never take the easy way in life or do something half assed.

Something worth doing is worth doing right, and they didn’t do it right.

Too bad. Their right hangs on the whim of judges.

What a precarious place to be.

Yes. That’s why Supreme Court appointments are important.

He knows it’s made up of course. But him condemning violent Trump supporters puts the ball in Obama and Hillary’s court to condemn their violent protesting rioting destroying supporters.

Perhaps a more constitutionally minded court will unread what has been “read” into our precious constitution. No need for President Elect to pick fights before he is inaugurated. President Trump will take charge of his office and execute his duties according to his oath, the Constitution, and the law.

If congress will pass responsible legislation then the President will sign it into law. There is nothing in the law that congress does not have the power to change or affect, the fact that our congress has been shirking their duties since 1964 has led us here. Perhaps President Trump can lead us back from the abyss of collectivism and toward the light of a new day based in freedom and personal responsibility.

I pray we can truly be a nation where one is known by the content of their character and not the color of one’s skin! (To paraphrase Dr. King) Even the communist block countries changed their laws on abortion and moral conduct once free of the Soviet Union chains. We have fired the first shot in a lifelong battle to be free. This is just the first election, watch our elected representatives closely, hold them accountable, let them know we are paying attention and will primary them in a heartbeat if they don’t act in an honorable and statesmanlike manner from this day forward!

I wish he had just left it at “settled law” and not added that he’s “fine” with it.

Opposite to what RNC Platform;

“Five unelected lawyers robbed 320 million Americans of their legitimate constitutional authority to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman,” the platform reads.

“We, therefore, support the appointment of justices and judges who respect the constitutional limits on their power and respect the authority of the states to decide such fundamental social questions.”

Based on his repeated campaign promise that he is working for us, I’m sure that patriots are going to get the opportunity to get constitutionally low-information Trump up to speed with the following constitutional reality.

Noting that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect the so-called “rights” to have an abortion or gay “marriage” like they did with the rights expressly protected by the Bill of Rights and other amendments, Trump will need to call out the following scandal.

Not only did state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices steal 10th Amendment-protected state powers to wrongly legislate the fictitious constitutional “rights” to have an abortion and gay “marriage” from the bench, but likewise corrupt, state soverignty-ignoring federal lawmakers wrongly remained silent while these justices did so.

It was smart of Trump not to make an issue of this at this time.

He should simply appoint conservative justices, who will overturn the ruling.

Trump then say that is is settled law. He can stay out of the fray.

Sometimes its best to do things without a lot of fanfare.

That is, until he appoints his conservative judges. Right now he just has greater priorities to deal with. He can deal with the filthy rump riders later. The interviewer was baiting him.

I used to listen to Trump on the Howard Stern show back in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s. I doubt he cares much about gay marriage or overturning it - he wasn’t socially conservative back then and he didn’t campaign as a social conservative now. I want to see him build the wall, appoint conservatives to the Supreme Court, rebuild some fairness into America’s trade situation with China and the rest of the world, and do something to fix the crumbling US infrastructure. The wall is priority #1 for me. As long as religious institutions are not required to perform gay weddings against their will, I don’t really care about that subject.

One thing I don't understand is why do conservative Christians care if other people get married even if they think it's fake marriage or sinful marriage? Is sin transferable? I honestly don't understand why people care.

Personally I think gay sex is gross. I also believe businesses should have a right to refuse service on reasonable religious grounds. But I honestly don't know why people care if gays get married. At this point I think the best way to quiet the gay lobby would be to start to ignore them.

That is exactly what I was thinking. He said in the last debate that the judges he was planning on appointing would reverse Row v Wade. It is not much of a reach to think that they would also overturn this nonsense as well. So why stir them all up?

“One thing I don’t understand is why do conservative Christians care if other people get married even if they think it’s fake marriage or sinful marriage?”

We care because...

Businesses are sued because the owners do not want to participate in gay marriage.

People have been fined for acting according to their conscience on this issue.

One person has been jailed for acting according to her conscience on this issue.

Children have been adopted by homosexual couples and have been brutally raped and tortured by the them. This includes supposedly role-model gay couples featured in major news outlet cover stories.

Gay marriage is an invented right to force others to reject Biblical Christianity and embrace perversion.

Clinton (Bill) implemented “don’t ask, don’t tell” to replace the military policy of kicking out known homosexuals from the military. They claimed they just wanted to be left alone. They claimed they just wanted to have privacy, just like the supposed basis of abortion. Now, holding a different religious OR political opinion on this issue can result in your being FIRED, FINED, JAILED, etc.

Roe v Wade is one thing. You just stop it. But as much as I’m against the same-sex marriage thing, do you really thing that the government is going to ‘un-marry’ tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of couples.

And let’s say they grandfathered in the ones already married, then you’ve got the whole ‘unequal treatment under the law’ thing. Some gays can be married, some can’t.

Unfortunately I think the cat’s out of the bag on this one and Trump is right.

Here’s why we care.

Marriage as an institution predates the state. It doesn’t owe its existence to the state, and it will still be with us after the state is long gone. It’s part of what we call the natural law.

Since when does the state have the right to change the natural law?
