Anti-trump march disrupts downtown, including black Christians at Church of God in Christ Convention

ST. LOUIS • A demonstration against the election of Donald Trump blocked traffic as it wove through downtown St. Louis Sunday afternoon.

St. Louis had been spared the foolishness of the anti-Constitution useful idiots until this afternoon. The main body of self-named "protesters" were about 4 lanes wide and 2 city blocks long. I will give them credit for not proving they are astroturf by displaying pre-printed signs, but the retreaded "Black Lives Matter" and insipid, uninspired bilge scrawled on cheap posterboard did not lend them any credibility. They began around 9th and Market, sauntered east on Market to 4th street, turned north to Washington, west to Tucker (12th) street, then south to City Hall near Tucker and Market. Altogether, maybe a 2 mile parade of idiocy. Many law-abiding citizens and tourists enjoying an unusually warm and pleasant Sunday afternoon were subjected to the petulant, self-centered clueless whining of a spoiled, juvenile mass of self-absorbed narcissism. City Police were pulled from doing jobs that mattered in order to baby-sit a bunch of spoiled brats. Traffic was tied up at exactly the time when the National Convention of the Church of God in Christ were gathering for services. I witnessed several carloads of well-dressed laity and clergy being forced to wait in a multiple block long traffic jam as the petulant ones vented their spleen. Hopefully, this episode will lose more support from the historically black churches as well as the tourists and workers who had this beautiful day disrupted.

The protests being unleashed upon several U.S. cities began in Ferguson two years ago. This is where the leadership of this movement fine-tuned their Alynskyite tactics. These tactics are brilliant, evil and very difficult to fight. By putting useful idiots in the line of ire, they hope to antagonise rational people to shoot and fire. Once the citizens attack one of these special snowflakes or their criminal cohorts, the full weight of the complicit media and the corrupt Federal Government, particularly the DOJ, will come crashing down on the poor schmuck who did the rational and sane thing. We must be very careful to keep our heads and react only in self-defense and then only when there is clearcut, irrefutable video evidence of the attacker's perfidity.

It is possible to fight against this tactic, but it is very difficult and the results come slowly. Ferguson did not succumb to the rational desire to exact vengeance, even though my town was severely damaged by these thugs and their leaders. However, in the long run, Ferguson is winning. The buildings that have been burned have been rebuilt. New buildings are being built. Businesses are coming back, and very few businesses have left. There has not been a massive flight from the city - in fact, there have been many good people taking advantage of the (temporarily) low price of homes and moving into our very nice community. City services have continued at nearly the same level as before. Our primary problems are the restraints that the DOJ Consent Decree has forced upon our Police Department. This, along with the nationwide heroin epidemic has made it very diffult for our local cops but, all things considered, they are doing a very fine job of protecting and serving.

The reason Ferguson is recovering this well is very simple and can be applied to the current riots occurring around our country. There are many people in my city who understand the power of prayer. There are many people in America who understand the power of prayer. In spite of what we see, and in spite of the rational desire to take matters into our own hands, God is in control. We've read the end of the book and we know that God wins. I have seen things in Ferguson that can only be explained by the power of the Omnipotent, Omniscient Creator and Upholder of the Universe. Thunderstorms just don't act the way they did on the anniversary of the November riots withour supernatural direction. God is interested in us, both individually and as a country. Prayer is a mighty weapon that is forged for situations such as these. You know what is happening in your area. Join with others who understand the power of prayer and defeat this enemy who is attempting to overthrow the lawful order of our beautiful country. Establish prayer chains of like-minded believers. Specific and targeted prayer is very powerful. Listen to God's instruction and do your best to follow them. And don't shoot the jackals, even though they desperately deserve it.

I love this development. The area is full of cameras, so there were plenty of opportunities to get clean shots of every fool who wanted to be cool. The vengeful jerk in me wants these useful idiots to pay a very high price for their treasonous actions. The mercy part of me, the part I really should listen to more often, does not want their lives ruined for this “youthful indescretion.” I do know that if I have the option of hiring someone, these pictures would definitely help me make my hiring decision.

I saw a carfull of clerical-collared men stuck in traffic several blocks from the convention center. They were dignified, well-dressed and obviously furious at these crazy white people. Last year there was a strong mention from their pulpit about responsibility and obeying the law. They just got new material for their next sermon.

I used to work downtown at 8th and Market. I am glad to hear that things are doing so well in Ferguson. This is straight out of the old commie play book - just like they did in the 60s. The radical left is paying people to agitate and get people upset to foment violence. They were trying to start a racial/civil war then and no doubt the same today.

I do believe that faith in God is what saved us then - the churches were stronger then and a larger percentage of people were involved then. I think that’s why we have seen so many attacks on religion and religious people - trying to diminish the influence.

I pray every day for restoration of our country and religious freedoms and a return to God.
