President-elect Donald Trump will take $1 a year as his presidential salary.
Trump made the revelation on Sunday nights “60 Minutes,” telling Lesley Stahl that he didn’t even know what the presidential salary is.
“I think I have to by law take $1, so I'll take $1 a year. But it's a -- I don't even know what it is. Do you know what the salary is?”
Stahl informed him that it’s “$400,000 you’re giving up.”
“No, I'm not going to take the salary. I'm not taking it,” he responded.
Trump again said he will release his tax returns “at the appropriate time.” He refused to do so during the campaign because he is under routine audit by the IRS.
“Nobody cares,” he told “60 Minutes.”
“The only one who cares is, you know, you and a few people that asked that question. Obviously, the public didn't care because I won the election very easily. So they don't care. I never thought they did care.

I didn’t care either. He is right, the only ones who do care are the media and liberals. Everyone knows he is wealthy and he obviously is following the tax code or the IRS would be prosecuting him.
Trump ought to drive the Department of the Treasury, the IRS, and the Office of Personnel Management crazy by working for $1.04 and insist on getting paid every two weeks like every other government worker. Issuing the electronic fund transfer will infuriate the people at the IRS because being paid $0.04 every two weeks means there will be no withholding from his paycheck.

Maybe Jr is fed up with the press.
Maybe he could start a veterans charity and preach to the next guy to leave it in place . Kinda like “ Leave moochels garden in place “ .

My dad was a “Dollar a Year Man” duduring ww2, many people who had special expertise useful to country during wartime were. My dad ran many restaurants, could be called on to feed masses of people if need be..
