Donald Trump’s presidential victory not only helped preserve the Republican Party’s majority in the Senate, but it also buoyed the GOP’s control of state legislatures.

Republicans now hold an all-time high of 68 out of 99 state legislative chambers, The Associated Press reported. Republicans also have control of both chambers in 33 states, up from 31.

In Kentucky, Democratic House Speaker Greg Stumbo was ousted along with 15 other Democratic incumbents, effectively ending 95 years of control of the state house. -

Awesome Go President elect Trump.

The Trump effect.

Trump has already done more for America than all politicians combined have in the last 30 years. Politicians have destroyed and sold out America.

1. Stopped TPP (Saved our sovereignty)
2. stopped Hillary : illegals now are scared to come into the USA with Hillary 10’s of millions more would be coming including many millions of Muslims
3.Canada and Mexico are already agreeing to re-negotiate NAFTA

Many other things.

Stop putting your trust in politicians . They talk big and say all the right things like Romney etc but never do anything good for America as they are beholden to their donors like Soros.

I trust only Trump and maybe Carson.

Despite Minnesota again giving a [small] majority to the Democrat candidate, we did regain control over the MN Senate and added two new GOP representatives to our majority in the MN House.

So it was a reasonably good night in MN for the GOP.

Not in New Mexico: Dems took control of the NM house after two years of Pub control. Dems retained control of the Senate. The NM house will be controlled by a leftist loony from Santa Fe. Our only hope is to retain the governorship in 2018 otherwise the enviro-nazis will move to shut down the oil and gas industry which funds 1/3 of state government.

Yes, near me, KY was a real wipeout for the Dems. Bevin may be able to get something done, now. Ditto in fact, for everything nearby, except IL, which appears to be hopeless.

Iowa’s Democratic Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal was defeated in the wave.

For Iowans, this was a BIG - "YUGE," if you will - deal. Gronstal has long been a very effective enforcer for the Democrats, and I was of the belief that he would leave only via death or becoming so decrepit that he couldn't be "Thad Cochran'd."

By the time I had breakfast on Wednesday morning, I had to give credit to more of my fellow Iowans than I usually do.

Trump should call for an Article V Convention of the States to amend the Constitution. Thirty-four state legislatures (2/3rds of the 50 states) are required. One of the items which must be considered is term limits on member of Congress as a Convention of States takes that question out of the hands of, you guess it, member of Congress.

This facet of the election is just starting to get the recognition it deserves. President-elect Donald Trump’s win exhibited YUGE coattails for other Republican candidates up and down the ballot. Donald Trump did not just beat the crook, he decimated the entire democrat party. The money people for the dem’s get nothing. The media is in complete disarray as they stand naked and exposed for the world see. The depth of this victory will take some time to really fathom. Build That Wall, Make America Great Again!

I suppose it’s fair to term it that way, but I honestly think Trump presenting solid policies and opening the eyes of people tho what failed policies were, is what turned this tide.

Trump floated many boats in this election.

In his speech at Gettysburg he put to rest the whining that he presents no substance

In those minutes he presented more substance than Hillary Clinton presented in 30 odd years.
