The election of Donald Trump as president is a bitter pill to swallow for millions of Americans and some are backing a quixotic campaign to reverse that outcome.
As of Friday afternoon, more than 2.4 million people had signed a petition to the U.S. Electoral College, urging its members to ignore their states votes and cast their ballots for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic, wrote Elijah Berg, who launched the petition on Change.org.
Berg, of North Carolina, argued that the Electoral College can award the White House to either candidate and should use its own most undemocratic institution to ensure a democratic result.
Berg continued: 24 states bind electors. If electors vote against their party, they usually pay a fine. And people get mad. But they can vote however they want and there is no legal means to stop them in most states.

True. Mexico should be a utopia for them — majoritarian rule, so Mexico City decides all elections, and only one real party to worry about, the PRI.

It’s called an election. Happened earlier this week. Get over, children.
To: Lazamataz
urging Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton Yah, that'll work. I wouldn't be surprised if a coupla dozen more defect to Trump and pay the fine.
To: Lazamataz
Electronic signatures, I’ll bet.
Meaningless.
I’d guess hardly a handful are actual, real signatures.

The last eight years have been a collection of very bitter pills for millions of loyal Americans to swallow. But one can hardly expect a sense of proportion from a "news" that identifies with the low character humans who are ruled by vastly superior horses, in land discovered by Gulliver in his Fourth Voyage. It never ceases to amaze just how deliberately daft are most of those on the Left.
Or is Yahoo now just another Soros funded outfit?

If the EC pays any attention to the fraud riddled, hysteria fueled, legitimate vote ignoring document, they will rue the day.

First, they want to get rid of the Electoral College...
now, they want to keep it?
The left is a moving target.
No they're not. They just want everything their way, all the time. Anything that gets them their way right now is good, anything or anyone that stands in the way of their getting what they want is evil. They will lie, cheat, steal, and murder to get what they want, and feel smug and morally superior while doing it.

Actually it is a toss-up, who was the more aggressive "scape-goater, Mrs. Clinton or President Obama. I think that Obama was more clearly using the Nazi play-book, in his Presidential runs; but Mrs. Clinton has more aggressively employed outright street thuggery in the election just past.
For more on the Obama run in 2008, see Leftwing Chickens Coming Home.
I believe the leaks about Mrs. Clinton and outright thuggery are still clear in everyone's memory.

Is there a petition I can sign asking them to award it to the actual winner?
I mean, apart from voting 3 days ago.

Hi.
I see we meet again.
You and I both know there is nothing in the Constitution prohibiting stupidity.
Although, there is the 2nd amendment protecting we the people against said stupidity.

In a thread I started several months ago during Ted Cruz's delegate poaching scandal (
[Tutorial] U.S. Electoral College: Who are the Electors? [Free-Range electors?], I started it off with the following:
Here's a disquieting thought: Will the "free-range delegate" concept we see today in the headlines also be a factor again in the general election? Should we be afraid, very afraid, of Electoral College electors being corrupted? Almost half the states permit "free-range electors." (Read more at the link for details.)

Someone needs to tell the precious snowflakes that the Electoral College is something entirely different than their $65,000 colleges.

Everyone’s memory does not include leftists. They are truly mentally ill.
