One Way Trump Can Show He's 'President Of All The People'
Forbes ^ | November 11, 2016 | George Leef

Posted on 11/11/2016 10:35:56 AM PST by reaganaut1

During his speech after the election results had made it clear that he would be the next president, Donald Trump promised that he would be “president for all the people.”

No winning candidate ever says otherwise, but once in office they usually proceed to enact a host of laws that make things better for their most vociferous supporters while doing little or nothing for ordinary Americans. The “president of all the people” promise is soon forgotten.

There are many actions that Trump could take to make life better for ordinary people whether they supported him or not. One of them would be to reform civil asset forfeiture law and pull the plug on the federal government’s “Equitable Sharing” program that encourages state and local law enforcement agencies to collaborate with the feds in seizing property from people who have usually done nothing wrong.

Under civil asset forfeiture laws, the government can seize a person’s property – ranging from cash to cars all the way up to real estate – merely by asserting that the property was somehow involved in or resulted from the commission of a crime. The owner need not even be charged with much less convicted of any criminal action, and once the property has been taken, the government makes it as difficult as possible to ever get it back.

It’s actually up to those people, if they want to be included, then act accordingly. Civilized, hard working, law abiding. Get off your ass and get off your dope.

Otherwise, you’re on your own. Trump and the rest of us don’t owe you squat

We should ask for Soros’ help teaching us how to confiscate the belongings of the illegal aliens that voted in OUR election.

It’s impossible to please “all” the people. Trump needs to do what he thinks is right what those who voted for him desired him to accomplish.

This is actually a great suggestion. There should be no civil forfeiture if they aren’t charging the property owners. The whole program is an unconstitutional abomination.

They just can’t stop thinking inside their little globalist box, can they?

Hint to Forbes: the “ordinary Americans” ARE Trumps most vociferous supporters. He listened to us. It’s why we voted for him.

That is not a bad idea. In fact a lot of innocent people lost money and property and had no way to made whole even though they were innocwent.

Actually Trump is going to do it a much better way. He’s going to kill the naysayers with their own cognitive dissonance.

For example, it’s hard to convince yourself that “Trump is a racist” after he appoints people of all colors and origins to important positions in his administration. The announcement of Ken Blackwell today is the first such of many. Not because he is pandering but because he is picking the best people for the job, based on the “content of their character”.

The same will be true with women and even LGBTQ, a perfect example isPeter Thiel who be Trump’s advisor for Technology and Innovation.

The pajama boys and delicate snowflakes will have to choose between what they think the “know” about Trump and what they experience through their own eyes and ears.

It’s going to be a thing of beauty.

Did this guy miss obama’s “Elections have consequences” and “I won” statements?

Hey, Forbes a$$hats, Trumps "most vociferous supporter" ARE ordinary Americans! In case you weren't paying too close attention, that was Trump's selling point: He couldn't be bought by special interests.

Go back to recommending penny stocks and stay out of topics you do not understand.

Exactly this.

When you consider that Democrat numbers in Presidential elections are always inflated by 5-10 million votes, and that Republican numbers are always suppressed... Trump and the GOP have a HUGE mandate to pass conservative legislation.

Anyone who stands in the way of conservative legislation can go sit in a corner and be quiet. Considering these are Democrats we’re dealing with, it’s more likely that they’ll have to be arrested or shot for doing something unconstitutional or violent.

The people need to accept him as their president because he will be president. Trump doesn’t have to do anything. It’s all up to those stupid people to deal with reality.
