California Gov. Jerry Brown, who earlier this year mused about building a wall around the state should Republican Donald Trump be elected, pledged Thursday to do his part to find common ground with the president elect.
But Brown also put Trump on notice that “as Californians, we will also stay true to our basic principles. We will protect the precious rights of our people and continue to confront the existential threat of our time – devastating climate change.”
Despite his complicated history with the Clintons, Brown endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton a week before California’s June primary, and then campaigned for her last weekend before Tuesday’s election.
Brown has repeatedly contrasted the intransigence gripping Washington with California’s progressive policy approaches, from joining other countries to address the threat of climate change to shielding the rights of unauthorized immigrants.
In the statement, the fourth-term governor moved past his earlier criticism of Trump, and didn’t directly address the incoming president’s dismissal of climate change as a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese or his promised mass deportations and a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Of course Brown has no say whether Congress cuts off all dreamer money, and refuses to fund the CA Obamacare exchange because it allows illegals. Heck, the Congress could even cut off all reimbursements for all programs that fund illegals.
And there not a damn thing he can do about a wall going up on the US border with Mexico.
Did I mention that sanctuary cities could likely also be deprived of all Federal funding? So can the University of California.
As long as those rights have nothing to do with the Second Amendment.

Brown has created a non problem for himself with his hysterical worry about "devastating climate change."
Mankind has nothing to do with climate change. Our Sun has everything to do with climate change. Actual climate change takes over a period of time 100 to 1000 years, in contrast to natural weather variation that occurs year to year.
Too many people have changed their religion to moon beams.
Get some real scientists who do NOT have a vested interest in man-made climate change.
Our people? They may be your people, Moonbeam, but they aren’t America’s. Might as well run that wall on the east side of the land of fruits and nuts.

Trump will raise them with his mojo and call with a bully pulpit. This is a fight CA can’t win.
The Democrats’ lust for centralized power in DC has created a federal Golem, and Trump ain’t afraid to use it.
This election was just the opening act. President Trump will open a can of whupazz in January.
How does Moonbeam respond to Trump’s position: “I’m going to do my job, the job I was elected to do.”? Obama has done everything he is not supposed to do, and nothing that his oath of office required.

Aside from the Wall and the security force needed to maintain it, California should be getting no federal funding until they kick their liberals out of office. And since the federal government is providing them defense from foreign invaders, they should still not be made exempt from the taxes needed to pay for the military.

Climate change? It’s called weather, Gov. Moonbeam.
Allow them to secede, and one of the several conditions is that they take all the illegals from the other 49 (or 56?) states.
