Leaderless Democratic Party in dire straits after GOP sweeps
Associated Press ^ | Nov 10, 2016 2:33 PM EST | Julie Bykowicz

President Barack Obama hands over the White House to Republican Donald Trump in 70 days, leaving the Democratic Party leaderless and with few up-and-coming stars among its aging stalwarts.

In what appeared to be a wave election, Republicans also secured majorities they already enjoyed in the Senate and the House and in governor’s mansions and state legislatures across the country. Democrats were all but wiped out in places like Iowa and Kentucky. […]

The Democratic Party should remold itself in the image of Warren and Sanders “and offer a systemic critique of the rigged economy” that appeals to the same voters who put Trump over the top, said Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee. …

Democrats leaderless?

Nonsense. Soros hasn’t gone anywhere.

Actually I was thinking about this during the election. Who do they even have on the bench that would still be ambulatory come 2020? The 17 governors are getting long in the tooth, nearly all their reps and senators are ancient.

Have they been so fixated with holding onto their on power that there isn’t really anyone to fall back on with any name recognition for the next go round?

Outside of CA and NY, socialism has few takers in the country.

But if they want to double down on a losing formula, Democrats will continue to lose ground.

The country is not interested in what they’re selling.

Ds won’t disappear as fast as the Canadian Prog Cons.

Their street theater can’t hide the fact they’re irrelevant.

There is no need to be afraid of them.

I cannot wait to see what word they select next to advertise themselves... Progressive is so old ‘new school’. Will these purveyors of destruction finally admit they are satanist commies?

“The defeat of Hillary Clinton, an experienced Washington politician who sought common ground with Republicans”

AP has learned nothing: STILL writing fiction and trying to pawn it off as “news”.

BTW, “wave election” = “Trump has coattails”, but AP just couldn’t bring themselves to say that.

Just like Clockwork

Liberals lose: They failed to get their message out

Conservatives lose: Their policies were too far right

The Clintons major power play was to put their buddies in all the key positions. They are almost all long in the tooth and on the outs with the future power structure; whatever it may be. They have very small bench and it has gotten smaller with the election. The problem with a power vacuum though, is that someone like Soros could move his slate of power folks in.

Trump knows that he controls his own destiny. Turning the economy around, getting foreign policy straight, increasing social mobility. If he does that, the contrast will be so stark and naysayers will look as foolish as the pollsters and the press, then no one will vote for another democrat for many generations.
