Gingrich: 'Never Trump' Republicans 'whiny, sniveling negative cowards' [Trump speaks via Hannity!]

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich slammed Republicans who refused to back Donald Trump during the general election as "whiny, sniveling negative cowards" Wednesday night, less than 24 hours after Trump was elected president.

"[A] Donald Trump [administration is] going to be among the most extraordinary, creative, inventive, exciting periods in all of American political history," Gingrich told Fox News' Sean Hannity on "Hannity". "Let [the 'Never Trump' movement] drift off into the ashbin of history while we go ahead and work with Donald Trump and with the House and Senate Republicans to create a dramatically new future."

Accurate description.
One of the Freepers who lead the exodus of NeverTrumpers from FreeRepublic to that alternative site where they slandered Jim and the rest of us for supporting President-elect Trump has had his account reinstated after his well deserved ZOT.

Ugh—Newt is just too much of a Beltway hack. His top priority a big infrastructure SPENDING bill to get Democrat buy-in on? And that’s what will get the economy going? Did we really just elect another garden-variety Keynesian?

Hannity best serves the nation right where he is currently.

That’s true...but comments like those, now that victory’s been achieved, make that more difficult than it needs to be.

Lots of "principled" 'NeverTrump' "conservatives" vainly seek relevance.

5 Things NeverTrump Conservatives Can Do in the Aftermath of the Election

The above is just an example of a no-name small fish NeverTrumper at PJ Media.

These people are like our European 'allies', they refused to do trench work, they stood on the shoulders of those fighting in the foxhole, and now they swoop in to get their share of the war spoils. If even a two bit nobody is plotting like this, you'd better believe the other NeverTrumpers are doing the same, or worse.

Never trust NeverTrumpers. They haven't earned any creds.

That would include Glen Beck with his over the top attacks on Trump. This boy drifts toward the spotlight glamour faster than a snowflake melts.

I wonder if Lindsey is regretting his Voted For McMuffin announcement.

“Republicans who refused to back Donald Trump during the general election as “whiny, sniveling negative cowards””.......

My guess is the sniveling cowards will emerge hoping to yield a cushy position back in the republican party. I’d ignore them if I were Trump, they need to live with the future that will NOT include them.

That one is paid to shill for one candidate and then another and then another. Not sincere about much of anything.

Something else I caught at the end of that segment with Newt was Hannity saying to Newt that he had a feeling that Newt and Trump were going to be around each other "a lot". Hmmm - Newt would be okay for some sort of consultation position - he knows the ropes around DC, he'd make a good sort of "tour guide" for Trump.

“Hannity for Press Secretary?”

That might just go to Kellyanne Conway.

No,I don't expect them to do so in the nation's interest...or even the Party's...but they just might come to find that it's in their *own* interest to do so.

It’s construction. That’s Trump’s wheelhouse. If he is saying rebuild infrastructure, he already has a plan for it.

I was a NeverTrump/NeverHillary. I did vote but
I did not vote for either. He won regardless, so the tag is now meaningless to me. I’ll gladly take whatever beatings/zottings you may wish to dish out. I have no expectations of the Trump Administration but I’ll pray for him and hopefully I’ll be joyfully surprised.

Still NeverBinary.

Now, these ‘principled NeverTrump conservatives’ magnanimously want all of us get together, in the name of unity, of course.

They would have demand those of us who supported Trump to crawl over broken glass to beg for their forgiveness, if Trump had lost the election. Even then, some of them threatened they would not have us back.

NOT ONE CRED!

the VERY reasonable steps Newt outlined about how President Trump will deal with Congress.

The part on the show about the strategies involved in taking over were interesting - whether there was intent to "manage" things or to "change" them - whatever it might be - which requires totally different approaches. I think Trump will approach it with a mixture of the two. He will initially manage and assess what is going on, then make changes as needed. It's going to be very refreshing to have a real CEO in charge of things for once - maybe for the first time in history.
