Citing an unnamed insider, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that former Gov. Bobby Jindal is being eyed by President-elect Donald Trump for a potential appointment as Health and Human Services Secretary.
If so, it could be one of the quickest turnarounds from enemy to frenemy to partner in recent political history.
A spokesman for Jindal didn't immediately respond to The Advocate's request for comment. A Politico.com story on Trump's possible cabinet appointees doesn't mention Jindal on the HHS Secretary list. Buzzfeed's exhaustive list of potential appointees similarly makes no mention of Jindal.

Laura Ingraham.
That would be good.
Is Milo an American citizen, now?
I wouldn’t mind seeing most of his competitors in his administration some where. It would be good to help get the party unified around him. Meanwhile, leaving the Dems to self destruct.
So NOW what do you think of him?
I think Ben Carson is a man of great integrity, moral standing and conscience but not an administrator.
Between the two, I think Jindal would be great to head up the enormous HHS department (and that position will certainly be key in helping develop what comes after ObamaCare).
I think Ben Carson would be great as Surgeon General
“People think Trump is this vindictive guy, and frankly, I dont see it.
You cant be successful in business being that vindictive.”
I agree. I will go with Trump’s instincts. He made a good move in selecting Pence. The man is not successful without be a good manager.
The industry practice (as I remember it) for any employer/group insurance policy being replaced by another company (in the old private sector), pre-existing conditions were covered. There was also the ‘conversion’ feature of a disabled employee being able to convert to a private policy, before Medicare kicked in.
Memory getting weak.
I have always like him - just intuition - his cheerful, friendly demeanor.
He does have the perfect background and if he was exposed to the financial aspect of health care; that is even more better;)

Competent and liked by many.
Plus he checks off a diversity box, which even Donald is going to have to do.
Americans with Indian roots are becoming more numerous, and, best of al,l seem to assimilate well.
Hope it is released soon who will be in the highest cabinet positions.
Trump won’t care. Trumps interest is to get America working again. Jindal is an expert in this area.
Forgiving an enemy, fine.
Overlooking a scandal, agreed, not so fine.
We can’t expect absolute perfection, and some adolescents are going to snicker over a Surgeon General who thinks that the Egyptians kept grain in their Pyramids, something for which there is no independent evidence though it is a tenet of Seventh Day Adventist theology.
But for me (basically Baptist) I don’t care. He’s an impeccable physician and that’s what matters most.
Trump will not take away preexisting or put a cap on medical for life. The under 27 may be gone though.
The system of tying it to employment was a crude kind of screening. If you could still work, or even if someone in your family could, you likely weren’t falling over sick.
All I pray is that Ben Carson gets something.
.
If true, it shows that trump can put differences aside if he believes a person is right for the job and will support his agenda. Trump epitomizes leadership and won’t be a slave to a bruised ego like so many of the rest in the political cesspool.
