ESPN’s Stephen A Slams Kaepernick for Not Voting — ‘Flaming Hypocrite’
BREITBART ^

Posted on 11/09/2016 4:33:18 PM PST by TigerClaws

Wednesday, ESPN2 “First Take” co-host Stephen A. Smith reacted to San Francisco 49ers quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick sitting out on voting in the 2016 election by delivering one of his greatest rants ever.

Smith called Kaepernick “shameful” and a “flaming hypocrite” for kneeling for the national anthem until change is made but choosing not to vote to make the change he wants.

The ESPN host urged fellow media members to take the camera and spotlight off of Kaepernick because his protests have meant “absolutely nothing.”

Partial transcript as follows:

As far as I’m concerned, Colin Kaepernick is irrelevant. I don’t want to hear from him again. I don’t want to hear a damn word about anything that he has to say about our nation, the issues that we have, racial injustices, needing change, etc. He comes across as a flaming hypocrite. As far as I’m concerned, I’m not interested in a damn word that he has to say. I hope he goes away. He’s lucky to be in the league right now. He’s 0-3 as a starter, completing 52 percent of his passes. He doesn’t look good at the quarterback spot. I don’t care about rust or anything else.

Could the order to slam him have come from high up in ESPN, panicked at crashing viewers and subscribers?

The most dangerous thing for the left is for regular americans to realize they have more power than they thought

No, no, Hillary is not a hypocrite. He doesn’t believe in any leader other than a Muslim leader. Even Hillary is far from his ideal.

50% of the revenue of Disney is from ESPN.

NFL revenue also keeps the aging major networks alive and funds the anti-Trump MSM media. The news loses money. They spend the football revenue WE give them to attack our country.

BOYCOTT THE NFL.

I meant Kaepernick is not a hypocrite, not Hillary. Of course Hillary is her idea of an ideal leader.

Lefties mad at lefties because things didn’t go their way. If I could watch either of them less than zero, I would. But ‘not at all’ will have to suffice.

I suspected he was gonna be benched and/or released after the election anyway. Maybe this is the first step.

Getting the attention off Kap would be step one... getting Lady Gaga the #spiritcooking satanist off the Super Bowl LI halftime show... is the other non-negotiable to save the NFL.

I rarely agree with Smith, but I like that he’s not a sheeple like most libtards.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you know what voting is? Do you not understand that that’s the reason why we’re the greatest country on the planet Earth?

Voting is overrated.

What matters most is individual rights.

And individual rights are getting sacrificed to the mobocracy of voting.

Kaepernick being in the top five reasons for yesterday’s blowout..

So I was watching "Pardon the Interruption" tonight--and Wilbon the Social Justice Warrior said that Trump's victory and Kaepernick's protests were related. Funny, but he and Kornhiser have been denying on multiple occasions that Kaepernick's behavior has anything to do with the plunging ratings for the NFL. Does this make sense? I almost turned off the show tonight.

I love these guys when they talk sports, but they suck moose schlong when they try to get political.

There is someone in my office right now that is just beside himself over "what happened".Someone finally had to tell him to "STFU, you lost! Kaepernick, bathroom laws, you didn't see this coming!? STFU!"

SJWs think everything is about them..

Stephen A is one of the (very) few people at ESPN who says what he really thinks, so probably not. I don't know his politics, but he is not one to suffer fools gladly - and he has correctly identified one, here. :)

Smith called Kaepernick “shameful” and a “flaming hypocrite” for kneeling for the national anthem until change is made but choosing not to vote to make the change he wants.

Not to mention that he's made tens of millions of dollars while claiming to be "oppressed".

The ESPN host urged fellow media members to take the camera and spotlight off of Kaepernick because his protests have meant “absolutely nothing.”

Well, except put the NFL ratings in the tank.
