Looking back at the polls in 2012, some predicted that Romney will win the popular vote...They were taken right before the election...
Rasmussen: Obama 48% Romney 49%
Gallup: Obama 49% Romney 50%
They turned out to be wrong.
Some were correct... ABC NEWS: Obama 50% Romney 47%
Investor's Business Daily: Obama 50% Romney 49%

Only two polls showed Romney winning...Others showed either tie or Obama victory...
On election day in 2012, I did not really have too much confidence that Romney will win...Do you remember what your feelings were 4 years ago on election day?
In 2016, I am positive that Trump will do better than Romney...Meaning Trump will probably win more than 47.2% of popular vote...
As long as he has more I don’t care
I never believed Romney would win. But I sure as heck think Trump will! Praying again right now, seems I never stop these days :)
I was sitting at a picnic table in Yuma AZ watching the results come in. At first, there was a glimmer of hope, but that quickly was replaced by a growing gloominess as more results were posted.
I asked the neighbor (a retired Idaho cop): “What have you people done?”
He replied: “I don’t know, but it’s bad.”
What I am expecting is a huge democrat turnout. They will pour out of every sewer, every rat hole to go vote for their candidate. That’s what I learned from 2012. They are the party of community organizing and they have Google helping them, so turnout will be massive.
Four years ago I believed Obama would be reelected. There was just no enthusiasm for Romney.
Out biggest challenge is that year by year, the nation's demographics change in the Democrats' favor thanks to immigration and the movement of liberals to red states for employment. This is killing us nationally. States that used to be tossups (like Colorado) are now solidly blue. States that used to be red are now tossups. There are probably more liberal voters in North Carolina today than 2012.
And if Hillary wins, it's over. She'll open the floodgates. We'll be fighting for Texas.
What I also learned from 2012 is how committed you are to your candidate does not matter. What matters is how many of you are somewhat committed. The party apparatus will take care of the rest.
I wonder how Trump is doing in the states considered solidly blue. It’s nice to have a good showing in popular vote but there is congressional, state and local government seats to consider.
I remember thinking Romney would win. When the results came in, I was convinced that the election was stolen.
What I remember was that Romney didn’t seem to care whether he won or not.
The elections of 2008 and 2012 were stolen... as soon as the RINO Establishment anointed two Socialist ringers who were there to play loser to Zero. We haven’t had a legit election in 12 years (although Dubya and Daddy were just as much a part of that corrupt cabal, as we later found out).
Amazingly close considering Romney’s horrific liberal record.
I was at work.
I was hopeful but kept checking into FR threads.
Things went sideways quickly after the polls closed back east.
I also remember this little ditz at work saying to me “Obama won” and her look of surprise after I said “Yeah, unfortunately.”
I’m on vacation this time around. If Hillary wins I don’t want to be anywhere near clowns like this when it happens. I might slap them.
I question whether dem turnout will match 2012. Nobody is excited about Hillary. They were willing to stand in long lines for BO, but for Hillary? Meh.
I couldn’t believe that half the country was stupid enough to reel them such a horrible president.
Reel=reelect.
Trump is going to win.
‘12 was rigged. Romney was leading. We have to make sure this is NOT rigged by whatever means necessary starting with fervent prayer.
I’m a newbie, but in my humbleopinion corrections for typos are not necessary; we all make them.
It didn’t help that the Romney campaign relied on a hi tech GOTV app code named “Orca”. There was never any volume testing with the app, the UI was a mess, and there were problems with people even being able to access the app on Election Day. A total disaster. Much like Romney.
