How any Republican can vote for Clinton as a protest vote against Trump is a glaring contradiction indicating such a person is a liar or mentally ill.
A Republican who cannot get onboard with the principles of Donald Trump will with high probability not vote for Trump and also not vote for Clinton. Just as millions of Republicans in 2012 could not vote for Romney, they chose not to vote for a presidential candidate. They did NOT vote for Obama.
