All Aboard: Ted Cruz Officially Joins the Trump Train
Townhall.com ^ | November 3, 2016 | Justin Holcomb

Posted on 11/03/2016 6:11:37 PM PDT by Kaslin

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has officially joined the Donald Trump campaign and has already hit the trail with Gov. Mike Pence in Iowa and Michigan.

After a heated primary season for the Republican Party, Trump and Cruz came out of the Republican National Convention with a less-than-friendly relationship.

"Sen. Cruz will join Gov. Pence in Iowa and Michigan today," Pence's press secretary Marc Lotter told USA TODAY. "Having Sen Cruz join the governor today underscores what he has been saying for the past few weeks and we are seeing happen across the country - it is time for Republicans to come home."

‘There are none so blind as those who will not see.’

That’s true. I once outlined for you a nasty, vicious, wholesale, vile and disgusting lie told about Trump by Cruz and the most dishonest, malicious operative in the business, Jeff Roe. You shrugged it off as of no significance.

Btw, if Cruz is honest and/or decent, why did he choose the sleaziest, most sickening political operative in the country as his campaign manager?

Cruz will easily stay in control in Texas.

You’re letting your bitter acrimony turn your mind to snot.

“Gosh, I guess he finally figured out which side his bread is buttered on...”

Very, very disappointing many in the party turned away from Trump because he wasn’t an establishment politician, and he played rough, to win.

We’re just cleaning out the scoundrels out of the GOP. Cruz just happens to be on of them.

What part of "Ted Cruz's name is not on the ballot" do you not understand? Cruz will run for reelection in 2018. He is not on the 2016 ballot.

Rather than helping to clean out the scoundrels, your anti-Cruz diatribes just serve to discourage pro-Cruz voters from voting for Trump.

The election is next week. Can't you put the Cruz hatred on hold until the election is over?

The poster onetime thought that a senator would have to be a natural born citizen.

Post your proof, liar.
Senators only need to be citizens.
When did Cruz or his parents apply for his?

This is starting to make me feel a bit less stupid for having supported Ted early in the primary season.

If he can continue to act rationally then I will support Trump naming him to SCOTUS... a good spot for ted IMO.

Your use of the pejorative of the left betrays you

“Birtherism” is the greatest Alinsky ever perpetrated.

They have gotten the American people to reject one of the most valuable safeguards bequeathed to us by the founders.
The natural born citizen clause served us well until we ignored it.
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama should be proof enough of the wisdom of the founders when they tried to prevent him from being President by requiring someone who could only be a US citizen and nothing else.
Born here of citizen parents.
Naturally a US citizen because there is no other possibility.
One cannot be anything else and also be a natural born citizen.

It does not matter if he was born in Hawaii if his father was a foreign national.
Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parent(s).
Natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents.
No other possible citizenship(s).
Only when one cannot be anything else can one be a natural born citizen.

No foreign birth.
No foreign parent(s)
No foreign citizenship(s)
No foreign influence on the Presidency is what John Jay stated in a letter to George Washington as the reason for insisting on a natural born citizen.

Obama told us he was born a British subject.

Who believes Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Jay, Monroe, Madison, etc. would have found him to be a natural born citizen?

Who believes they would have thought the recently deceased King of Thailand was eligible to be President?
He was born in Cambridge MA.

Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009, happened with the complete cooperation of both parties.
They want the Constitution changed without the hassle of amending the Constitution.
Confuse people about the clear meaning of a three word phrase and voila, every anchor baby and Winston Churchill is eligible.

The bench was the reason the GOP went along with the fig leaf resolution for McCain that was used by the Democrats as cover for Obama.
Jindal, Rubio, Haley and Cruz were all up and comers and the future of the party and ineligible.

The truth of the Kenyanesian Usurpation will never see the light of day because both parties cooperated in the violation of the Constitution

TRUMP owes little britches Cruz nothing.

Cruz is seeking cameras and headlines to stave off opposition in his US Senate race. His colleagues couldn’t stand him and if PAC’s decide to truly come against him as promised, in TEXAS, he needs to kiss TRUMP’s feet and pray. His grand standing without fail had to do with his mouth and never his actions on.paper.

Sorry you’re a dupe for that mouth of his, but as for your axe burying dilemma, you own that. I for one don’t care where you bury it. Cruz can mend fences by going away. Let Goldman send him his unemployment pay and Blondy can go back to work for the Council on Foreign Relations and pen more union for North America. Globalist shills, both of them.

Hi, Jane.

I think the snake guy said it in an interview is the way I got it, but not in his speech.

He’s been yakking it up about “down ballot” support ever since the Convention, but he has himself boxed in, by those “principles” of his, all that fine huffing and puffing against TRUMP. Blech.

How about this:

Folks welcome Cruz and his effort at this late date to helped get Trump elected. We need every vote we can get and it Ted Cruz helps, the more the merrier. Go Ted Cruz.

Also we need every republican senator. So if it takes voting for Ted Cruz in 2018, so be it, I will gladly support him for his past work in the senate.

I think that might satisfy the folks that genuinely like Ted Cruz and his past service to the conservative movement.

That said many feel Ted showed bad character in this years primary election. They would not want him to get a more prominent position in the republican party, nor do they want him to run for higher office than he now occupied. that is an equally valid point of view and if enough folks feel that way Ted Cruz will find his future in the republican party is not very bright. How that comes out is something first to be determined by the republicans in Texas in 2018, followed by the primary voters in 2020 or 2024.

But for now let us remember until we get trump elected we do not need to attack each other. I think both sides have some genuine arguments in their belts for why they see things the way they do. I am sure it will be worked out in time, after we succeed in this election.

Thank you for pointing that out! I hear that, “Trump big meanie” one more time, and somebody is going to have to duck.

That stinking PAC ran that nude of Melania with some smart crack about her as First Lady and it hung out there for about 48 hours. Cruz never uttered a peep of renouncement or of leaving the wives and family out of it. Not a word.

Then he wets himself in public because TRUMP hits him back, using a frowny face Heidi side by side to Melania at her best, and mentions the photo of dear old dad Cruz with Kennedy’s assassin, in Cuba. The Inquirer posted that photo.
Cruz had a fit about that. But... it was NEVER denied, never a claim to be a mock up, or photo shopped.

TRUMP warned he would not hit first, but would hit back hard. He never did start anything. Recall Cruz had already been taped on audio, fundraising in NYC, talking to a group about friending your enemy, or something to that effect, while insulting Trump. TRUMP never said a word about it. Still hasn’t.

Why would Ted Cruz request Mitch the Senate to resolve Ted Cruz eligible to hold the office of the president, IF Ted Cruz was already ‘eligible’?
