Impeachment Already on The Table If Hillary is Elected

As a number of FBI investigations into Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's private email server and the Clinton Foundation continue, with indictments likely looming due to overwhelming evidence, the Republican controlled House is already putting impeachment on the table should Clinton win the White House next Tuesday.

Yesterday during an interview on Fox News, Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul explained the process.

"If the investigation goes forward and it looks like an indictment is pending, at that point in time under the Constitution, the House of Representatives would engage in an impeachment trial. It would go to the Senate and impeachment proceedings and removal would take place," McCaul told Fox News' Bill Hemmer. "I would hate to see this country thrown into a constitutional crisis because of Hillary Clinton's behavior."

This again brings up the prospect of whether President Obama will pardon Clinton before she takes her oath of office.

Meanwhile, the Oversight Committee is already bracing for years of investigations should Clinton move into the Oval Office.

She’s not going to be impeached. You need 2/3 of the Senate to remove a President, so there is no point in doing so unless the GOP controls 2/3 of the Senate.

I think this is incorrect. The president can only be impeached for crimes committed while in office.

Have a real trial in the Senate and make it impossible for anyone to support her. Put her and her cronies on the stand, make them testify and be subject to a vigorous cross examination.

No such limitation in the Constitution.

Nonsense. There was no chance that Bill Clinton would be convicted in the Senate but the House went ahead and impeached him anyway.

No, even if the Republican’s controlled the Senate is Hillary going to be impeached. None of the Rinos would want to look mean to a lady. Besides the pubbies are more likely to want to work with Hillary then Trump anyway.

I personally prefer Prison to Impeachment. The American people want Retribution.

She’d be “impeached as secretary of state.”

If Obama pardons Clinton before inauguration to prevent her from being impeached, we will have a serious crisis. I hope it won't degenerate into violence, but there will be a lot of very angry people -- an a powderkeg ready to blow at any time.

A more likely scenario is a bloc of states begin the process of secession, daring Clinton to start another war between the states.

She might even do it.

Maybe the senate would refuse impeachment, but the FBI could win a prosecution and she could serve her sentence as president while in federal prison? I mean if that’s what the democrats want?

BS. If Hillary wins, every RINO will be knocking on Hillary’s door to congratulate her and offer to “reach accoss the aisle to form a bipartisan working relationship”

I think this is incorrect. The president can only be impeached for crimes committed while in office.

The House can impeach the President for any reason. A previous House tried to set the precedent for "crimes committed while in office", but a previous House cannot bind the behavior of a future Congress, without a Constitutional amendment.

Not true. Should the Beast be impeached, that would be another historic first.

Can a president be indicted while in office? I didn't think that was possible. So impeachment.

Demoncrats always project what THEY ARE PLANNING, so they just tipped us off that they plan on trying to impeach TRUMP.
