Utah appears to have moved safely into Republican Donald Trump’s column with less than a week to go until Election Day.
A new Heat Street/Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Utah Voters finds Trump with 42% support to Democrat Hillary Clinton’s 31%. Republican-turned-Independent candidate Evan McMullin has faded to 21%. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earns three percent (3%) of the vote. Two percent (2%) like some other candidate in the race, and another two percent (2%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Orrin Hatch came out strongly for Trump yesterday on the Hannity show. That will help.
Several guys have gotten into the race just to draw votes from Trump. Nobody is combatting Hillary. But he’s still ahead, even with orders from the Mormon bishops for their followers to vote for Hillary.

Regardless of what happens in this election, we will iether see the death of the Republican party (as it’s constituted now) and a creation of a new, real conservative new party or a reformed party.

Mia Love was elected in 2014 and looks to be re-elected in 2016. So I think a large number of Mormons did vote for her. However, soon after assuming her House Seat she voted for Paul Ryan. And recently denounced Trump. So I have no idea where she is at anymore, politically.
