Jeff Head’s cancer condition now diagnosed as Terminal

As many of you may know, Freeper Jeff Head, a long time member of our forum, was diagnosed six years ago with malignant bone cancer callled Chordoma. It is very rare and and was fond in his lower back and his Sacrum. He had to undergo multiple major spine surgeries, then months of rehab, followed by radiation treatment.

Jeff was asked by MD Anderson to give a presentation about his experience five years ago, before the cancer began showing signs of returning:

Now, sadly, the cancer has returned recently and is now in his liver, his right pectorial muscle, four places in his skin, and three more places in his Lumbar and Thoracic Spine.

Jeff spent two more months in Houston in May, June, and July with more surgery and more radiation. Dispite these efforts, his condition has now been diagnosed as terminal.

This is forcing Jeff to take an early medical retirement at work, several years before he otherwise would have been prepared to do so financially.

He has submitted his paperwork to the government (Jeff works for the Bureau of Reclamation that builds and maintains hydro-electic and irrigation dams out west).

His problem is that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) can take anywhere from 6-12 months to render a decision and Jeff must go on sick leave while he awaits their decision.

When his own leave runs out, he will have to be on leave without pay.

So, for any of you Freepers who work for any agency of the government, you can help Jeff out by sharing any Use-or-Lose leave you may have.

May God in Heaven continue to bless Jeff as he goes through this very painful experience, and may God bless each of you, and our nation at this critical juncture, that we as a people may turn to Him and work our hearts out for the right.

We will keep this thread up-to-date on Jeff’s condition.

He has indicated that depending on how agressive the tumors in his liver and chest are, he could have anywhere from months to longer, perhaps even a year or two, with decining health throughout.

He has asked his wife to keep that site up as long as she can possibly do so, and has often commented on how he, a hay seed kid, from a ranch in Texas, could ever receive millions of hits as his site has done.

Thank you my friend, Squantos. You have been a trusted and close friend for many years, and I thank God for our friendship. You are like a brother to me...as are so many others on this board.

There is a reason for everything...and I cannot tell you how many unbelievable and uplifting experiences I have had as a result of this experience.

So mny opportunities to talk tpo others about God in Heaven and His love...despite the hardship.

The son, “Be Still my Soul,” has become very special to me. I have committed it and a few more uplifting hymns to memories and when things get really difficult sometimes I will try and take a walk with walker an sin those songs as I go along. Almost invariably I will get a warm, loving spirit and inclination that actually helps relieve the pain and brings me closer to my Savior.

I would recommend anyone to do this.

We all have good times in life...and we all have more difficult times.

God in Heaven is faithful to us through it all, and in His own due time will reveal the understanding.

I hope of there are any government employees who have use or lose leave, that they will consider sharing.

I was doing fairly well earlier this year when I had to go for some more surgery and radiation down to MD Anderson and it set us back. We hope to find enough to get us through the OPM process the government uses.

In my position for the last 6 years where I have been the Security Officer and Coordinator for our entire Area (The Snake River Area) in the Bureau of Reclamation, I can tell you without equivocation that Hillary Clinton broke both government policy and the law.

Each year each government employee must take a training class that is signed off on by their direct manager (Guess whose Hillary’s is?), citing that they have taken and passed the training.

Government records. Government servers. The methods our adversaries use to try and steal our info. NOT having government records on other devices or servers, and how to handle all sorts of government records from the mundane to top secret are covered.

She broke the law. The IT officials in the State Department know it. She knows it. the FBI knows it. The Justice Department knows it. The President knows it...and they all should be held to task for it.

But enough of that. It is my prayer that the people of this nation vote accordingly and she is routed out of office and government service like the viper she is.

In the mean time, we in the Head family thank you all for your prayers, your faith, and the help and encouragement you have given us and we pray God’s blessings on each of you and that His countenance may smile on you all.
