The FBI got a warrant to search Anthony Weiner’s laptop for new evidence in the Hillary Clinton email scandal, setting off a mad dash to try and finish the massive job before Election Day, law-enforcement sources told The Post Sunday.
Weiner shared the laptop computer with his now-estranged wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and the feds believe there are around 650,000 emails stored on it, with many from Abedin’s accounts, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“FBI agents are reviewing the emails as we speak,” one source told The Post.
Metadata found on Weiner’s laptop computer — seized as part of an investigation into his explicit, online relationship with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina — suggest it may hold thousands of emails sent to or from Clinton’s private server, sources said.
It was unclear how long the search would take, but an official briefed on the matter told The Post that the job would extend past Nov. 8, when the vast majority of Americans go to the polls.
“There are too many emails to sift through before the end of the election and that is why [the Department of Justice] was cautioning [FBI Director James Comey not to make the announcement,” the official said.
“The FBI won’t be able to look through them all and now they risk looking political.
“Many of these emails appear to be redundant. That’s to say that since Huma was on Hillary’s staff, she was apparently copied on a lot of them.Now will all of them be redundant? No, that won’t be the case for all of them,” the official added.
Agents have probable cause to search only those that relate to the Clinton probe, and they’re only expected to seize a portion of the huge cache, a law-enforcement source told The Post.

What Hillary has done with government communications and keeping them on a private server which is prone to hackers and probably was hacked was bad to begin with. But I believe that all the proceedings going on about those ill fated emails at the moment are a detraction and serve as a camouflage from another just as deplorable issue in which the Clinton’s have engaged in, involving their so called “Foundation” which amounts to no more than a cleverly concealed money laundering scheme at best, and selling out this nation and peddling influence to boot, by a government official at the worst

Did DoJ craft the warrant to prevent the FBI from searching for evidence of Clinton Foundation pay-to-play and other criminal activity? What if Huma Abedin was engaged in her own criminal operations that had nothing to do with the email probe? What if there is evidence of sex-related crime by Hillary or Bill, as rumor-mongers are alleging, that has nothing to do with the private server? Would those things be off limits? I put nothing past these crooks.

Maybe so, but attorney generals office will never convene a grand jury or indict.
BTW, I’m going with Hillary & Obama’s Quatar/Iran/Syria oil pipeline cartel scandal that will be their ultimate demise. In the short term, though, for this week, it’ll be something that Wikileaks dumps that’ll have a dramatic effect on even the most dense of Democrats. 4,400 emails per agent. No problem.
Look all the ones you want to review are those send to or from the hcloud. Find more than the three you identified in the first whitewash investigation. Move to open grand jury, search warrants and arrest Huma to take away her passport.
To be frank, Weiner and Huma have a marriage of conveinence and are first and foremost a political power couple. He was a six term congressmen and then a lobbyist. She’s second banana to the second most powerful democrat in the country. Trust they were forwarding each other ANYTHING that might bolster their combined status/power. Asking questions, banter, shop talk, passing tumors, rants/venting, etc.
That’s a lot of emails.
It is also in the realm of possibility that WikiLeaks has much of the same content and tipped the FBI that it would be coming out this week. This effort by Comey may be an effort to control the blast radius.
Comey can’t destroy evidence this time. The NYPD has the original files. Comey gets a copy. Do you think the NYPD gives up the original?
It’s a trap.
I think it’s a copy of everything on the server as well. And probably has up to date data as well.
If so, releasing that will bring the house down.

I envision a process that looks like the Florida recount. If they find 3,500 emails they will have to be scrutinized in seven rounds of review with hand picked DoJ lawyers and by then one email -maybe.
Caulk that up to an “opsy”...then call the whole thing a witch hunt (ironically).
They don’t determine classification, but unlike Hillary, they know what (c) means on a document.
WikiLeaks has already released evidence of insider trading as well. Particularly with regards to government contracts in Haiti, if I remember correctly.
That ain’t going to happen. I’ll bet the sink.
Sort by “to” and “From” will reduce the number drastically.
Then, they can target which to read.
