The FBI got a warrant to search Anthony Weiner’s laptop for new evidence in the Hillary Clinton email scandal, setting off a mad dash to try and finish the massive job before Election Day, law-enforcement sources told The Post Sunday.
Weiner shared the laptop computer with his now-estranged wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and the feds believe there are around 650,000 emails stored on it, with many from Abedin’s accounts, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“FBI agents are reviewing the emails as we speak,” one source told The Post.
Metadata found on Weiner’s laptop computer — seized as part of an investigation into his explicit, online relationship with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina — suggest it may hold thousands of emails sent to or from Clinton’s private server, sources said.
It was unclear how long the search would take, but an official briefed on the matter told The Post that the job would extend past Nov. 8, when the vast majority of Americans go to the polls.
“There are too many emails to sift through before the end of the election and that is why [the Department of Justice] was cautioning [FBI Director James Comey not to make the announcement,” the official said.
“The FBI won’t be able to look through them all and now they risk looking political.
“Many of these emails appear to be redundant. That’s to say that since Huma was on Hillary’s staff, she was apparently copied on a lot of them.Now will all of them be redundant? No, that won’t be the case for all of them,” the official added.
Agents have probable cause to search only those that relate to the Clinton probe, and they’re only expected to seize a portion of the huge cache, a law-enforcement source told The Post.

If my math is correct, figuring roughly 30 sec. on average to compose an email, 650,000 emails is roughly 40 hours a week for 2.5 solid years of composing emails.
This leads me to believe there are a lot of emails two or from people other then Hillary on Huma’s laptop. If it includes Clinton Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative, Benghazi and the code Yoga files, it’s the mother load.
To the extent people might speak in euphemisms, use he, her him....”the thing tomorrow”...etc.

There was some talk Classified headings being removed...Perhaps that's what's going on....
I believe these are the TRUE ORIGINAL emails, prior to a mass of them being deleted (or altered) by her attorneys.
They have already narrowed the field considerably....they found emails which should not have been on the computer which triggered the new situation.
Think about how Comey went out of his way to make Clinton look bad earlier this year without coming out and saying anything specific. The issue now is folks outside the FBI have this stuff, they know exactly what is there and it is bad enough for Comey to have a come to Jesus moment.
The veil has been torn.

They’re not going to read them all. First off, the 650K includes Weiner’s emails which is a separate investigation.
Secondly, they will plug in searches that isolate emails Abedin used for business - state. gov, clintonemail.com, etc.
Once they know what they’re looking for, they can follow threads and or/ further isolate the pertinent emails.
Many are no doubt CC’s and BCC’s but still may be relevant.
Herridge, among others, has reported that sources told her that “explosive” information had been found by the NY investigators. The NY team has done a lot of the legwork and narrowed down what is to be looked for.
As I understand it, the FBI doesn’t determine classification. All they can do is hand off suspected emails to the (Obama admin) agency that produced the intel. And you know what will happen then.

Given the FBI was aware of the email trove in early October, and senior FBI and DOJ officials stalled re-launching the investigation, this is nonsense - if they had acted promptly (and properly), most of the work would already be done. Which means they DID not want the work done by election day.
