The Justice Department has yet to allow the FBI access through a warrant to any of the newly discovered Huma Abedin emails, Yahoo News reported Saturday night. But that may not mean other law enforcement agencies in communication with the FBI did not have access to the new material.
SNIP
According to The New York Post, agents did not read the e-mails seized, because their warrant only covered Weiners messages.
However, The New York Police Department, along with the New York U.S. Attorneys office for the Southern District of New York, led by Preet Bharara, and the U.S. Attorneys Office in the Western District of North Carolina, may have all very well seen the emails in question when the NYPDs Special Victims Unit first launched their own investigation into Weiner and his sexually explicit messaging to the teenage girl.
Additionally, the U.S. Attorneys offices and local law enforcement have access to the FBI laboratory, for example, to conduct scientific examinations of evidence for any federal, state, and/or local law enforcement organization in the United States.

I don't know how you can both look at the emails to see whether they include child porn and at the same time not look at them.
So while they may not have methodically gone through and read them one by one, the agents must have a sense of what we have on our hands here.
Preet Bharara is a man to be reckoned with. He has already taken down two of the three corrupt power brokers in New York State, and is working on the third - Andrew Cuomo.
Can’t someone go to a federal judge and circumvent the AG?
Yahoo news? You can’t be serious.
Maybe Weiner says something in emails like “If I go down, Bill and Hillary go down, they were diddling underage girls on Epstein’s Island. I only texted a young girl and I didn’t know her age, they abused young girls in person. They are real pedophiles”.
I'd guess it was found in the linen closet in Huma's bedroom with a bottle of Bud.
Preet Bharara served under Rudy when Rudy was the U.S. Attorney for New York while he brought down the N.Y. Mafia bosses...
This guy is what you would call a ‘Real Bulldog’ he brought down Silver, he’s in jail; and he is bringing down Cuomo...
If anyone in this Weiner/Huma/Clinton case knows what he is doing it’s Bharara...he had a good mentor...
Since when does the FBI have to have a warrant to look at evidence in the possession of a police department that THEY got through a legal warrant. More spin spin spin.
America is on the edge of a cliff, a wrong step and we can not recover for generations.....
VOTE FOR TRUMP
Even if the DOJ give permission for the FBI to read the emails, the FBI team investigating does not have the security clearance to read them - per FoxNews this am.
Might wanna include this link in the sunday thread
What?
They certainly saw the subject and address lines.
They’d have to look at them to know if the emails were relevant to the ‘sexting’ case!
Maybe the DoJ erected another "Chinese Wall" between FBI and local law enforcement...a la Gorelick.
There must be someone at the FBI who had security clearance to read them, otherwise, how else can they investigate this?
Maybe the impending ‘political earthquake’ should engulf the DOJ as well.
If the FBI has been tainted, then the DOJ is a downright contaminated organization.
The pressure on Lynch should intensify until she cooperates and DOES HER JOB.
It’s the DOJ, the Obama Adminstration, the Clinton Foundation...the whole darn shooting match.
I wasn’t familiar with Mr. Bharara. Glad to hear there’s people like him on our side.
There’s probably stuff on Weiner’s computer that could indict Lynch!
Very true.
It’s just that right now, it’s Lynch’s DOJ that is preventing the FBI to move forward with Huma’s emails. Obstructing justice, no?
But you are 100% right - it’s the WHOLE shebang.
