Bill and Hillary Clinton failed to get required permits for a rushed renovation of the house and grounds they recently bought next to their original Westchester home, it was reported Friday.
Records show that the Clintons contractors filled in an in-ground pool, covering it with gravel, and extensively remodeled the interior of the property all without applying for permits and paying the required fees to the town of New Castle.
The couple were apparently in a rush to get the work done and demanded that it be finished before Thanksgiving, a contractor told town officials.
He said they have to have it done by Thanksgiving. I said thats nice but you still have to get the permits, Building Inspector William Maskiell told The Post.

Permits are for the little people. They’re the Clintons, dammit.
I’m soooooo sick of these ‘people’.
HOUSE ARREST?
“On time and under budget?” They are slow learners./sarc
What did Hillary add, a hospital wing?
Bureaucrats believe the purpose of regulations is to regulate OTHER people.
While I’m more than happy to see the Clintons caught up here.... I despise the permit process. I get the concern about impact to other local properties, but internal stuff doesn’t impact other people’s property.
I did the permits in WI for my basement reno. I dealt with the crap reinspect for a non-issue. Then in OH I buy a prefab shed from lowes and I have to get a permit and an inspection for that. Oh please. Waste of time, resources, and just another way to hit up someone trying to improve their place.
My retirement dream 100 acres in a non-incorporated rural area.
I’ve seen whole additions ripped down over not having a permit. Many localities have many different regulations but it’s also not uncommon for pool removal to include digging it all up before filling it in.
Clintons are white trash.
Permits: Just another way of gouging the taxpayer out of another fee.
[Laws are for little people ... ]
That’s exactly what I was going to say!
Usually this is in the contract with the renovators, who’s going to pull the permits. More often the general contractor will pull the permits and notify code enforcement when they are done. The inspector will then sign off and close the permit.
I agree but the point is OTHER PEOPLE have to follow the laws, good, bad or indifferent. The CLINTONS do not.

So how many bodies can they bury in the pool?
With all the real scandal, this is
Zip, Zero, Nada. Let’s concentrate on the important stuff.
