Ground game and digital blitz to target millions of union households and allies
In the final days before the election, the AFL-CIO will drive a powerful grassroots program and launch a digital ad blitz to union households and allies. The final stretch of the campaign is underlined by speaking with millions of voters at the doors and on the phones, delivering millions of mailers and a six-figure digital ad buy in battleground states.
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka began the countdown to election day with a new video message that makes the closing argument for Hillary Clinton.
The case for Hillary Clinton stands on its own, said AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. We are not choosing the Apprentice. Were electing the leader of the United States of America. Hillary has the ideas, experience and drive to transform our economy into an engine for shared prosperity.
In addition, the AFL-CIO will roll out digital ads on ten prominent media sites in the battleground states of Florida, Nevada, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Readers of the Las Vegas Review Journal, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, Orlando Weekly, Tampa Bay Times, Jacksonville FOX-WFOX, Jacksonville First Coast News, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch, Toledo Blade, Philadelphia Inquirer and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette will see the ads which redirect to a new landing page. You can view the ads here: http://bit.ly/2fgcrrG.
Starting Monday, union members and allies can help build a symbolic wall around the White House to keep Donald Trump out at www.StopTrump.org.
In Philadelphia, radio ads on African American stations will build on the AFL-CIOs Black voter program and encourage turnout in the community.
Nearly half a million mailers and 1.4 million slate cards listing pro-worker candidates will reach union households in key states by Election Day. All three AFL-CIO officers will continue their rigorous travel schedule across the country to engage with union members in battleground states including Florida, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Lots of these guys will vote for Trump.
I’m okay with that. The more working men they get to the polls, the better for freedom and democracy. Decent people will not vote for Hillary, no matter what their parasitic union bosses order them to do.
He does build stuff.
Except for government workers they are wasting their breath and money.
That’s true .. it was mentioned on Rush today. Only the Union big wigs are supporting Hillary .. but a very HUGE portion of the WORKERS are voting for Trump.
I know there was a time when union workers were not allowed to vote any way but how the union DEMANDED.
Seems things have changed.
Just got some of their crap in the mail this week in Ohio...as with most junk mail it went in the trash during sorting and prior to reading.
A once proud American union that is now under the control of communists.
The mafia campaigns for the Clinton mafia.
Ever since the union leftists/Marxists got rid of the anti-communist leadership clause, the AFL-CIO was been going down the “Red Road”, esp. under Trumka who hired several key reds for his top positions.
However, many union workers are not as stupid as the comrades want them to be, and are waking up to the disaster of Obamacare, bad trade agreements, selling out to the communists and Iran, and losing jobs.
Pray they wake up in enough numbers to make a difference.
That goon trumpka is the worst yet. These rat henchmen coerce my hard earned union dues to buy a nice shiny dim dagger to put in my back. I’m a teamster with a contract being negotiated and we are about to really get screwed. Of course the union leadership thugs pay and benes continue to increase.
The contract is so bad even I would consider a strike except for one small problem, our union strike pay is $56/wk!!! Can’t put our dues in a strike fund when there are millions to be pi$$ed away on job killing political hacks like bitch Clinton.
WHAT IDEAS? WHAT?
I’ve asked 3 NYC union guys in the last couple weeks on how their union buddies are voting. Iron workers, Tile workers and Carpenters. All say they and their buddies are voting for Trump.
I’ll ask a police officer from Hillary’s home turf, and a member of the union the represents Heavy Equipment Operators when I see them this weekend. I have a strong feeling that I’ll hear the same from them.
Even though Hillary can't on her own.
>> Lots of these guys will vote for Trump.
Indeed they will.
This will be a parade with all leaders and no followers. Hillary Clinton now scheduled to be in Michigan and Wisconsin in closing days. Why? Shouldn’t she have them locked down by now - she is the Democrat right?
Did you read it? They are using union dues that members are forced to pay to spam their members and urge them to vote for Hillary and her minions.
I’m NOT ok with that.
American Federation of Lunatic Communist Idiot Obozos
They are essentially organized crime.
Yes, unions are organized crime.
I’ve hated them ever since I was threatened by union goons back when I was a teen who needed school permission to hold a part time job. I was riding my bicycle home from a minimum wage job in a union shop (too young to drive, and barely 5’ tall) when goons in a pickup blocked my path and threatened to break my bones if I didn’t comply with the union’s demands. Union activists are malignant. Pure evil.
Union dues is always wasted, whether on campaigning for enemies of working people (democrats) or the usual luxury for union bosses (also democrats). This time around, I don’t believe the union spam will do Hillary any good, and it’s likely to hurt her, so I don’t mind the corrupt waste of their member’s compulsory payments.
