Stunning Numbers: Trump Leads Hillary in Rally Attendance by Half a Million People Since August
Gateway Pundit ^ | October 23, 2016 | Jim Hoft

This was a joke but there is more truth to it than anyone there may have known. Since the party conventions in July (from August 1st through Saturday, October 22, 2016) Hillary has participated in only 34 campaign rallies to Trump’s 87. Of Hillary’s 34 campaign rallies where she was present, only a dozen of these events had crowd estimated at over 1,000 people.

Donald Trump on the other hand held 87 events in the same time period of which only 7 had crowds estimated at less than 1,000. Most, if not all, of these small crowds for Trump were special campaign events where he gave speeches on foreign policy, childcare, or his recent Gettysburg address, for example. Trump has held 80 events with crowds more than 1,000 in this same time period with 16 of these events with crowds 10,000 or greater.

Trump averages more than 6,000 at his events while Hillary averages less than 1,000. Because Trump has many more events than Hillary, he averages getting in front of more than 6,700 per day compared to Hillary’s 380 per day in this time period. Because Trump has worked much harder he has 53 more events than Hillary, which has resulted in Trump having more than a half a million (530,000) more participants at his events than Hillary.

Hillary has taken 57 days off without participating in campaign rallies since July. She is either sick or her campaign thinks she’ll do better if she doesn’t get in front of people or her campaign doesn’t want to show the abysmal lack of interest in her and her events.

Big rallies are great, but even at ~600,000 total attendance, that’s only .5% of voters.

I haven't, and won't, attend a Trump rally. Nothing personal to Trump; I just don't like pep rallies. I have, however, watched his speeches live and later on youtube. Watching and listening to him persuaded me to support him.

"...that’s only .5% of voters. So 99.5% of voters haven’t been to a rally..."

While factual, it ignores the true message here, which is that all the motivated enthusiasm is on Trump's side, and the disparity is enormous.

Gargantuan, even.

And motivated enthusiasm is the only thing that counts come election day.

When Donald Trump onto stage tonight, he paused and sized up the crowd standing before him, many of whom were waving signs into the air emblazoned with his last name.

“Look at this crowd!” Mr. Trump said.

Throughout the course of a 41-minute speech, Mr. Trump essentially asked voters to take a leap of faith on his candidacy. “There are easier choices to make in this election,” he said.

Bathed in the glow of floodlights, Mr. Trump addressed thousands of people who stood shoulder-to-shoulder, stretching from one side of the park to the other.

“There are those in this race for the presidency who are touting their experience working the system, but the problem is that the system isn’t working for us,” Mr. Trump said. “There are those who are saying you should be looking for someone who can play the game better, but the problem is that the game has been rigged. The time is too serious the stakes are too high to play the same game over and over again.”

In February, Mr. Trump drew 20,000 people to the Town Lake in Austin, Texas. In March, 10,000 people crowded into a plaza outside City Hall in Oakland, Calif. In April, he attracted 20,000 at an outdoor rally at Yellow Jacket Park in Atlanta.

And tonight, he drew what the campaign said was 24,000 people. That number was impossible to verify – unlike the other locales, where police provided a crowd count – but the audience clearly was one of the largest of the year.

=======================================================

OK, I cheated. The story above is about Obama from a 2008 story with the name and some other details changed.

Remember when populism meant populism and the press didn't ignore it? When enthusiasm was a guarantee of a good result on election day? When turnout at rallies equated to turnout at the ballot box?

All these were articles of faith when long lines, parking chaos and early arrivals heralded Barack Obama - along, of course, with a fawning press transfixed by their Apex Token.

Suddenly, the standards have changed, words have lost their meaning, cause-and-effect are no longer in effect and the goalposts have been moved.

If you believe the media, that is.

Big rallies are great, but even at ~600,000 total attendance, that’s only .5% of voters. So 99.5% of voters haven’t been to a rally, and only have seen the news coverage which is viciously slanted against Trump. So not sure these rallies are as effective as they might seem.

____

1. In the months, years and decades to come, over 20 million people will claim to have attended one.
2. Big events do generate enthusiasm that becomes viral. Viral trends begun in person are stronger than those generated through digital persuasion.
3. The disparity shows just how much more “on the ground” enthusiasm is generated.
4. And this is BIG LEAGUE, Trump has figured out how to build momentum in target states while still running the national campaign he promised.

Yes, and that’s an important point. Apart from the extra 500k persons in attendance how many more viewers has Trump had on the Web for all his rallies?

I don’t know exactly which poll it is - but Fox news had a poll today that shows Trump now closing the gap by something like 5 points from earlier in the week. Even Faux can’t hide the truth. Look for more of a surge in the “official” polls because these numbskulls don’t want to be shown to be the Hitlery shills that they most certainly are.

Nice to know that factoid.

Also, heard today on Fox that another “poll” is which mask sells the most on the Halloween before the Presidential election. This year, that prize goes definitely to Trump.

Recall Bernie’s rallies compared to Hillary’s. Same thing. His were many times better attended than hers and what was the outcome?

Also, Trump’s rallies are attended by politically astute people. Folks that actually care about the state of the Country.
Hillary’s primary constituents are uninformed, apolitical, freeloading deadheads. Many millions of them.
No need to go to a rally, they know who is going to hang out the government teat.

In the 1960 World Series, the Yankees outscored the Pirates 55 to 27

The Pirates won the series 4 games to 3.

Focus on the right metric.

Something is not jiving here.

There is some jive, because the numbers don't jibe.

“What’s more stunning is that those Trump supporters have to figure out how to get away from work to go to the rallies.”

While Hillary “trolls” skid row, colleges and universities, and welfare offices; and offers cash and a free ride to and from her “events.” It’s amazing what you can come up with if you drag a pack of cigarettes through a welfare office.

I think you are way wide of the mark. Big rallies equate to energy and commitment. The fact that Hillary has none of it can’t be good. It’s one thing to tell a pollster who you like, it’s quite another to go to the trouble to go vote for that person when deep down, you know she’s a POS!

If .5% show up at rallies, it shows .5% people are enthusiastic and committed. It probably means even more than .5% are enthusiastic and committed, but how many? 5%? 10%? 30%?

I'm just warning you, that even though the rallies seem large, compared to the total voting population, they are tiny. So infer support at your own risk. Romney had big rallies right before the election that people though indicate enthusiasm, but it didn't translate to votes.

Romney's "last gasp" big rally was a phony production complete with a live performance by Kid Rock!

He never got anywhere near the numbers Trump pulls regularly, several times every day, and in every State in the Union.

But look at the bright side; you only have 13 more days to be wrong! LOL
