Axelrod: I’ll bet the house that Michelle Obama never runs for office

With Hillary Clinton reaching the end of a generation-long quest to return the Clintons to the White House — successful or not — some are pondering the First Lady-to-POTUS model in the future. With Michelle Obama hitting the hustings hard for Hillary*, that question obviously applies in the present tense. Don’t worry, former Barack Obama campaign chief tells Hugh Hewitt this morning — he’d bet “everything I own” that the current First Lady wants a non-electoral life when Barack Obama retires in January:

Easy bet, she never would want to do the work. Moochelle is lazy and now can live a life of luxury, with or without Barry.

I agree with the AxelRod. Running for & holding an office is a lot of work. I’ve seen no proof that she is interested in doing any actual work.

She will have a life-time position as “former first lady” as well as life-time SS protection. Additionally, if she ever feels the need for a little extra spending money she can give speeches for cash - any time.

No, I don’t think she has the burning desire for POWER - like Hillary. IMO - she will be happy to remain what she is - the moocher...

Pretty much the same reasons I don’t believe her husband would want to be on the Supreme Court. Too much actual work ;-)

This country is exhausted by the same old, tired electoral inbred and incestuous politics. The Founding Fathers would scoff at what we have become politically. Could you imagine a dynasty of Washingtons and Jeffersons? Of course not because George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would strongly forbid it. The unwritten Constitutional rule rule was that we do not have dynasties nor anything resembling King and monarchy. The intent, I believe, was that the President would have far less power than it is present today and that congress critters were HONORABLE, 100% answerable to WE THE PEOPLE and in no way could make a living off of public service becoming multimillionaires. Most in government today would be tried and hung for the reason and Constitutional lawlessness. The new normal is a disgrace! I totally agree that term limits and restrictions are needed on who can and cannot run for office.

Nah, I believe him. Michelle is of the type that wants to do the least amount of work for the greatest rewards.

The Obama’s want to be really rich so they must convince people that they will once again have political power. That is the only way they have ever made any money.

And, no doubt, the kids streets are paved with gold henceforth with little to no effort as well. Look at the impact scupper lip has had in her career path. LOL! The bush daughters——not so much.

Didn’t she have an ethics investigation by the Illinois Bar that resulted in her “voluntarily” giving up her law license?

“...term limits and restrictions are needed on who can and cannot run for office.”

You have that right and if only it could be so. Every government job I have ever had (and I have worked for the U.S., State, and County during my work life) I had to pass various tests to apply. Any applicant for a gov’t job all the way to the Presidency should have to be tested, even a general intelligence test, so we know they are not appointed “puppets” and can think for themselves..

The Wookie will not dare endure exposure of the transvestite deception that played the American public for fools. A campaign risks exposure from someone digging in the wrong place.
