A nine-year old cheerleader stood alone at a football game as the fathers of her squadmates lifted their daughters onto their shoulders.
Addie Rodriguez was alone because her father Abel is undergoing military training in California. It was truly unfortunate to see your daughter standing out there being the only one without their father, knowing why hes away. Its not just an absentee parent. Hes serving our country, Addies mom Alexis Perry-Rodriguez said.
Enter San Antonio teenager Matthew Garcia. And what an entrance.
Seeing Addies situation, Matthew a senior at Central Catholic High School vaulted two fences as he ran from the bleachers onto the field and hoisted a crying Addie onto his shoulders. I ran down from the bleachers right here, he told reporters. I just hopped the fence, and I went over, and I knelt down, I talked to her and I said, Are you OK?
When I realized what he was doing my heart just melted, said Rodriguez.

I'm in love with the guy myself.
That was beautiful - thanks for posting!
That’s a really cool thing to do, if the girl and her mom don’t mind, which they didn’t. Otherwise, the act could have been a big mistake on the boy’s part.
Saw this last week when Sarah Palin posted it on Facebook to her followers.
Wow...some good news for a change.

Love it! Thanks for posting.
Maybe we’re seeing the beginnings of a religious vocation. The boy seems to have a great instinct for pastoral work. :)
Beautiful! Some folks really know how to raise fine men and women!
Nice story. God bless this young man. Thanks for posting.
The kid has a jrotc shirt; he may have other career plans. That’s okay too. Our country needs good people to defend freedom just as much as our church needs good people to spread the word.
Thanks for posting.
All it takes for evil ... is for good people to do nothing!
God bless this young man for his kindness and action.

Thank you.
The coach better sign this kid up for track.
Yeah, to me that’s almost the best moment, seeing this kid gracefully leap those two fences as if they were tiny tinkertoys. A sight to see!
