Army Navy was a staple in Texas for many decades. I shopped their extensively for clothing and a foot locker.

We used to have one very near to where I live. They had great, functional binoculars, and a lot of warm, durable clothing - especially socks. I loved going in there.

It disappeared about 15 to 20 years ago, and I don’t even know where one might be around here now.

I was in scouting and the troop leader had the Army Navy Store, in Texas in the 60s, when Dad said we are going down there we boys would run to the car.

Grew up in Dallas, TX, in the 70’s. There was a huge Surplus store right off of Interstate 30 near St Charles street, you could see it from the highway.

Some of my happiest memories were perusing the aisles and deciding what I could buy from the money earned mowing yards and clipping trees.

There used to be a cool military surplus store on Galveston Island, several stories tall.

I noted last time I went most of the clothing was from foreign militaries, which is lame. I do not desire Norwegian Autumn camo. Who does, really?
