Yes, I think agents need to be grabbing their clients and telling them to shut up, stand up and salute the flag unless they feel so strongly about it that they want to donate $5M in future salary to it. Or more, because guys like Kaepernick ought to be radioactive, who needs the drama he’s bringing?
Patriotic Americans are fed up with elites, be they politicians, actors, athletes, or other celebrities.
The elites are beginning to notice how fed up we are when we boycott sports events and pick non-GOPe candidates. It’s all part of the same trend.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch.
(Pardon my Schadenfreude.)
Sweet—money is a message even the dumbest big corporation understands.
Why are you wasting valuable bandwidth hawking an organization that stomps on the American flag?
Sorry I thought this was another stupid NFL fan thread.
Krapernick is starting next game, that should help
I’ve only watched one game thus far this season. Colts vs. Jags in England. Boring game, my team lost.
Otherwise, I won’t be watching anymore. I’ll read a book, or fire up the bike and go for a ride while the weather holds before winter sets in.
Not missing the NFL.
Watch the nfl...player ingrates and overpaid? You gotta be kiddin’ me. There is much more to life.
Also, the data also suggests people are watching their own teams play, but not other teams. Personally, I went cold turkey.
$3.7 billion in salaries?
How much of that goes to their buddies in Chicago or LA? How much finds its way to various mosks?
Did they televise the Patriots game this past weekend? I suspect with Brady returning there would be a large bump in the TV audience. Once the Patriots continue to win games, the national TV audience should drop back.
Hoping for a Lawerence Taylor-Joe Theismann Redux.
Divided by 32 (teams) I get $115 million per team - that’s called the salary cap - how much each team can spend on player salaries. (Wiki says salary cap is 132 million) my math is slightly off.
............LOL, Hey Roger!!!................do you need some help on the MATH !!!????
If this trend keeps trending buddy, you won’t have your job much longer!
I wonder what LT’s position is on this crap. I was a die hard skins fan, but always respected LT.
For sure!
These guys make millions of dollars .. and our high school football teams play better football.
How about lobbing the ball almost the entire length of the field .. and another player is there to catch the ball in the end zone.
I’ve never, ever seen a pro team do that .. something is very wrong if they can’t play better than teenagers.
Maybe the coaches should make them watch out teenagers play football and they’ll figure out they need to step up the game just a bit.
NFL may go the way of MLB.
I watched most of the Texas Rangers home and away games, and until the last couple of weeks of the season, the stadiums were 1/3 to 2/3 empty, game after game, week after week. Apparently, the MLB no longer cares about ballpark attendance and instead rely on TV broadcasting as their main revenue source.
Of course, the prices of the extras — food, caps, etc. — don’t help entice attendance.
With over 160 games per season, one would have to be a very dedicated and financially well-off fan to attend a large number of games.
