U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is standing by his support of Donald Trump following the release of a 2005 clip showing the Republican presidential nominee speaking lewdly about women.
Cruz, who endorsed Trump in September after a months-long holdout, was asked Monday by an interviewer in Muleshoe if he was "still backing the Republican candidate for president, Donald J. Trump."
"I am supporting the Republican nominee because I think Hillary Clinton is an absolute disaster," Cruz replied.

THERE NEEDS TO BE A LITMUS TEST FOR GOP—WILL YOU SUPPORT PRESIDENT’ TRUMP’S AGENDA?
I wish that had been a primary litmus test much earlier during the GOP House primary season...Will the candidate support much tighter immigration,truly secure border, strong military, National Sovereignty, etc. My senator, Mark Kuck (aka Kirk) from IL is openly saying he does not endorse Trump and he is running on that...even brought in Kasich to campaign with him...They are both scumbags.
Cruz got the message about the media when they started to open his own scandal closet. Notice how far he has fallen that he is in a place called “Muleshoe”.
I am glad Cruz took a more measured response...of course there was the issue of those women that never ran in the National Inquirer—which may have been tempering his Trump response...
You would think they would have asked him already on Saturday or Sunday, immediately in the wake of the tape. He was, after all, the last Trump adversary standing during the primaries.
This is a very strange election cycle, on so many levels....

Indeed, and it reaffirms my belief that Ted Cruz is a cut above almost any politician out there. It’s a shame how he was vilified during the primaries.

Ummmm... he did several things on his own that threw himself out of the running. He has proven to NOT be a cut above anyone else and in many ways worse. I say this as someone who voted for and supported Cruz right up until he sold out to the GOPe.
Which is to say, I have no clue where Muleshole is. And, from the sound of it, I don’t want to know.
Ted should have honored his pledge to support the nominee from the get-go, and then maybe he wouldn’t be in Mules, or anyone else’s, hole.
I suspect Muleshoe is just up the road a piece from Searchlight.
