Paul Ryan will no longer campaign with Donald Trump (No Longer?)
New York Post ^ | October 10, 2016 | Daniel Halper

Speaker Paul Ryan told House Republicans Monday that he won’t campaign with, or defend, Donald Trump and he urged his members to “do what’s best for you” in the presidential race.

In a stinging rebuke to his party’s presidential nominee, the nation’s top elected Republican told fellow GOP members in a conference call that protecting the party’s House majority must be their priority going forward, multiple news agencies reported.

Ryan said he “won’t defend Trump” or otherwise campaign for him between now and Election Day, according to Politico.

He told Republicans in Congress to “do what’s best for you,” according to CNN.

That’s what you get when you play along with the RNC.

Trump endorsed Ryan because they asked him to. Now Ryan (that P.O.S.) does this in return?

This is why you are not vice-president right now stoopid Ryan.

He never supported Trump anyway. The GOP leadership crossed that bridge months ago.

When elected President, Trump should veto any bill Ryan sends to him until Ryan is forced to step down.

He didn’t look too happy at the debate last night. Looked like his candidate was losing.

Pray America wakes

This POS should be denied any money from the RNC and removed as Speaker.

Ryan has conceded loss of his position as Speaker.

There's no way he can put together a coalition of Republicans to vote for him after this.

If Hillary wins, Ryan is part of the reason why.

If Trump wins, Ryan has no moral authority to lead the House.

Ryan might as well announce he is stepping down at the end of this Congressional term, so that the Republicans can begin the process of choosing a new Speaker.

Well, maybe this is a good thing. IOW, I’m not sure that, even if Ryan did campaign with Trump, it would help Trump win the election anyway.

The big thing is, for Trump to get anything worthwhile done, should he win, he must have a Republican House and Senate. I say let Ryan go out and try to rally the soft, squishy Republicans to vote and keep their majorities.

They are saying on TV that Trump’s strategy in the debate last night was mainly aimed at shoring up his base voters, and not towards bringing in new voters.

I guess they didn’t see the Luntz group of independent voters who last night overwhelmingly didn’t like Hellary and said that, post debate, they were more inclined towards Trump.

"Vote for the other democrat in WI on Election Day."

No. I understand there is another Trump Conservative in the race - vote for him - sorry, I forgot the name.

When did this viper RYNO ever wholeheartedly support Trump? He is despicable, not to be trusted. He should not hold any public office, except perhaps garbage man.

There really are deplorable, but they are in the GOPe, not on Trump’s team.

Wisconsin CD1 should be blowing up his phone.

Ryan has no problem with Hillary’s treachery. No problem with her predator husband. No problem with the fact that his party covered for pedo Denny Hastert.

He needs to go. Crimes, I never thought I’d miss Boner.

Ryan can’t keep playing softball with “hardballists”. Some of these Republicans do not comprehend that one cannot make deals with the devil. Those Dems will stop at nothing and would never, ever announce that they wouldn’t support any and every Dem candidate, even if that candidate was a criminal.

Ryan will never be President

Joe Heck is a General, he must have gone to French Generals school. Attacking his own troops while retreating

So, the question is, who should be speaker if Trump wins?

And, who should be the speaker if Clinton wins?

Ryan has just thrown his support behind her. If she wins, Ryan is part of the reason.

There's no way he can remain in a leadership position after doing that.

Ryan needs to see the world from the viewpoint after he falls off the marble column he thinks he stands on.
