Russia is considering plans to restore military bases in Vietnam and Cuba that had served as pivots of Soviet global military power during the Cold War, Russian news agencies quoted Russian Deputy Defence Minister Nikolai Pankov as saying on Friday.
"We are dealing with this issue," the agencies quoted Pankov as saying in Russia's parliament.

But, but, didn’t The One play very nice with both of these countries recently?
Isn’t Viet Nam one of the TPP countries?
If Hillary wins those Russian bases will be next door to our bases there; Hillary/Obama love these old commie foes of ours...
I don’t see how the U.S. can have bases on Russia’s doorstep in eastern Europe, but then try to complain if Russia does the same? Cuba can just as much invite Russia in as Latvia can us.
Why would anyone think that Russia wants a war with the US?
Even with Obozo still in office, I don’t think Cuba wants to go back to total dependency on Russia, and that’s exactly what would happen if Cuba let Russian military bases back in. Russia is slapping the US because they can. They know how weak our leaders are. Such a shame. Hopefully, Nov. 8th will turn this around.
These are OLD spy bases....
I hate sequels

But, but, we’re the world’s policeman!
It’s okay for us to have military bases all
over the globe, because we’re sincere
enough, we’re humble enough,
and doggone it, people like us.
Besides, we always have our friends’ backs,
unless they’re Kurds or something.
Vietnam is an economic basket case
If Hellary wins, the Russians will get a base in the Florida Keys.
If she wins, anyone with money has a base in the White House. That much has become completely clear to everyone.
Vietnam does not allow any countries to establish a military base in the country, Foreign Ministrys Spokesperson Le Hai Binh has stated
