House Speaker Paul Ryan, 'Sickened' By Trump's Lewd Video, Says He Won't Appear With GOP Nominee

Donald Trump cited sudden interest in debate-prep Friday night when he confirmed what House Speaker Paul Ryan announced minutes earlier: that the GOP nominee, subject of a freshly released lewd video, would no longer appear with Ryan at a highly anticipated joint event on Saturday.

Amid recent backlash, Trump, 70, has chosen to have his running mate take his place. “Governor Mike Pence will be representing me tomorrow in Wisconsin,” Trump said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

“I will be spending the day in New York in debate prep with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Jeff Sessions, and then flying to St. Louis on Sunday for the 2nd Presidential Debate,” the statement read.

Trump’s cancellation comes after Ryan, 46, addressed the GOP nominee’s latest misogyny scandal. “I am sickened by what I heard today,” Ryan said in a statement via Variety. “Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests.”

Concluding, “In the meantime, he is no longer attending tomorrow’s event in Wisconsin.”

Ryan reportedly dis-invited Trump from the event. Saturday’s event would have been the first time Trump and Ryan campaigned together since they both attended the Republican National Convention in July. Ryan, who has a positive rating with women in Wisconsin, has had a contentious relationship with the billionaire businessman since endorsing him in June.

Give me a break!

The stakes are too high for these little cowards to run and hide. All they have to say is that Trump’s views of 11 years ago don’t represent the man I know and that he has apologized for those remarks.

These freaks need to get an effing spine for once.

“You should hear the crap women say and some of it is fairly salty.”

Exactly. Anyone that thinks women don’t talk sh*t and are pure as the wind driven snow, haven’t spent enough time around women.

It’s a matter of political methods, not politics.
Obviously, Trump could have made a ‘mea culpa’ at Ryan’s event- or ‘whatever’ political act would help.

But Ryan *chose* the most damaging response.

And my R congressman will hear what I think of anyone who’d vote Ryan for Speaker.

Trump needs to educate the women that aren’t informed and the young people and let Hillary be seen as a hypocrite.

Every opponent that has gone down to Hillary gave her the Queen treatment (just like Sanders) and were easily defeated. The first debate shows the Media and Hillary aren’t going to let it be about the issues, so expose her for the lying hypocrite she really is.

The TV advice to Trump is precisely what got every other man she defeated thrown to the trash heap.

You can’t have it both ways, Hillary. Women were destroyed and paid off - and you claimed your faux Love story was real, even as young interns were getting the same book of Love Poems you claim to cherish so from your Bill.

The Clinton lies need to be stopped.

Clintons, both of them have done more damage to our country in their behavior than anything Donald Trump has done in his past as a private citizen. Hillary will put us in the grave! ABC NBC CBS you’ll never get it!

Trump should start the debate by saying, I did not have sex with that woman.

If you let the Clinton machine tell the Fairytales, you will lose.

>>I am so done with the republicrap party. <<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The traditional party labels are not what it’s about anymore.

The existential struggle for America is the world-without-borders globalists versus those who wish to preserve and reinvigorate our nation.

Even the word “Conservative” has lost its lustre since the word has been appropriated by certain globalists who wish to destroy America.

We must be careful of those who use words as the opposite of what they are supposed to mean. As another example, “Free Trade” IS NOT FREE. IT HAS A PRIVILEGED CLASS OF PARTICIPANTS THAT STRUCTURE THE LAWS IN THEIR FAVOR.

I don’t doubt that CNN and others are (pretend) sickened by the audio recording. What the hell is wrong with Rep leaders? Shouldn’t they know better.

Wanna know how filthy they can be?

Go to any restaurant and check the condition of the men’s room and then the women’s room.

WTF do women do in there? Disgusting....

Ryan didn’t have to say anything. This has nothing to do with him. His piling on was totally voluntary and shows where his loyalty really is.

The DC Pols don’t work much, in fact, Paul Ryan has never had a real Job in his life, but the perverted parties are legendary. They have lots of time for other things, and reading Obamacare ain’t one of them.

So the act is a bad act designed for the ignorant.

I don’t know who I hate more: Globalist Cuck Ryan or the cucks who voted for him.

Nehlen would have been a much better choice.

You got it. The timing of this betrayal could not have been scripted better.

It's what we have come to expect from power hungry globalist Pigs like Ryan that have infiltrated the republican party. Ryan has much more in common with Crooked Hillary than he has with traditional conservative values. Much more.

This Treasonous Pig needs to go.
