If Donald Trump thought he was in a two-to-one fight at the last presidential debate (Hillary Clinton and debate moderator Lester Holt) he should be prepared for a three-to-one fight on Sunday night. In addition to his Democratic opponent, Trump will be going up against CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and ABC reporter Martha Raddatz. A look at their careers shows they both have a tendency to lean left.

Accepting Liberal Moderators doesn’t display a strong “Art of the Deal”.

Debates are too important to give to biased hate-filled 'journalists'. Both parties share the expense of buying time on network TV and use rules designed to answer questions the American people care about AND to keep the conversations 'fair'...

4 Questions from Republicans to both candidates

4 Questions from Democrats to both candidates

6 Questoins from each party to the opposition candidate.

6 Questions from each party to their own candidate

2 Questions from the Speaker of the House

2 Questions from the Minority leader of the House

2 Questions from Democrat and Republican leaders of the Senate

2 Questions from the Supreme Court

4 questions from two top rated radio hosts. (2 Dem - 2 Republican ) The "moderator' will READ the Questions and keep a time clock... if a person talks more than 15 seconds over their time their mic will be turned off

Debates are too important to leave them to the biased narcissists of TV 'news'...

Accepting Liberal Moderators doesn’t display a strong “Art of the Deal”.

Trump is fighting the establishment from both sides and the media. So he was starting from a disadvantaged position. Hillary is holed up for the next few days resting and going over the info packets provided by the “moderators”. These “debates” are one of the cornerstones of her strategy. Trump is walking a fine line; he needs to look “presidential” but he needs to stay unpredictable.

His answers to the questions should be short and to the point, then pivot to the areas where Hillary, Cooper, and Raddatz don’t want to go. If they protest, hammer them. At some point point early in the debate, Trump should lay out the unfairness of the previous two debates, and crucify Lester Holt.

“The Donald’s best strategy would be to direct his replies toward, and ONLY toward, the camera and microphone, ignoring both the moderators and Herself as he delivers his response.”

What you said. In spades.

Sunday will be another lefty dog-and-pony show with Clinton, Anderson Pooper and Martha the Rat acting in concert—with as many edges & cheats as possible to Clinton—trying to get Trump to jump through their rehearsed/spontaneous rings.

Yes, when they say, “Jump boy!” Trump should ignore the inquisitor and call of their question, e.g. “Many think it racist/sexist to discriminate against undocumented immigrants/non-natural born candidates for this office/vaginas ... “, and talk to the American people.

It’s hard to believe after the last gauntlet that there are a few Pollyannas here on Free Republic who still don’t seem to understand these debates are a rigged game.
Most low-info voters with enough interest to tune-in think the same way.

As usual, it will be Clinton and every Uniparty and MSM a$$whole in America versus Trump and the half of America that pulls the wagon.
Yet another thing for Trump to change after he takes office is the FEC, the debate commission and this rigged game.

Regardless of the debate format you won’t see a passive Donald Trump on Sunday. He’ll carpet bomb Hillary. Each question he gets will be a short response to it and then a turnaround attack on Hillary. ..... The gloves need to come off and I think you’re gonna see Hillary knocked off her stride on Sunday.

I see no evidence of any of that. I just heard an audio clip of Trump from last night where he dismissed doing any debate prep. He is a master of the campaign stop - thousands packed inside (and often outside) the venue waiting for him to speak. He needs to realize that the debates are like a campaign stop but with tens of millions showing up to watch and listen, not thousands. I am prepared to be disappointed. Image matters, content matters, practice matters. Trump can't just show up and wing it and do well. This is not a campaign stop where there is no opposition. I just get the feel that Trump does not take the debates seriously. The election is essentially tied at this point. Add the at least 5% Democrat voter/ballot box/ electoral college fraud that will happen and it's game over.

He better not skip his debate prep sessions like he did last time.

Explain to me how you would prepare for an ambush, when you were FORCED to walk the gauntlet, with a trap at every step.

We don't know what Trump did to prepare for the last debate.

We only know what the Mediabloggers told us. :)

I don’t know but most seem to be the type who just cave and allow others to walk all over them. Not to mention they are enablers...all of them for allowing so much crap to occur.

Because the GOP wants him to lose as well. TRUMP should choose at least one moderator.

He already has no concentrated on it as much as he should in my opinion. HOlding a rally Saturday night instead of preparing does not seem a wise choice.

I hope I a, wrong but he has to do bettr in this debate and keep his cool.

The RNC accepted the Debate commission and in the agreement the commission gets to select moderators. They should have either veto or the ability to have a list that the commission must select from equal to the Dems. OR they could treat it like a trial where both sides put up moderators and the other side has strikes.

If we lose this election it really does not matter in 2020 anyway.

The RNC is just The Establishment Uniparty which is Liberal.

Trump should have pounded them into dust in advance.
