The Vidor Police Department received 5 calls for service in reference to clown sightings between 10:19pm Wednesday night and 5:23 am Thursday morning.
The officers actually found one individual at the time and he only had on a clown wig at the time of his encounter, he was relieved of his wig and was given counseling. All other sightings were unconfirmed by police as the officers were not able to locate any at the other locations around town.
We will continue to investigate any reports called into the police. If possible please let the officers attempt to locate the subjects. Officers had walked into the area of one location to attempt the locate one sighting only to find the neighborhood was out looking as well.
At this point there have been no laws broken with the individual we did encounter. Rest assured the officer are aware of the concern of the community and are watching for any individuals who may take advantage of this opportunity.

Good thing the cops got a hold of the nut before some citizen ventilated him.
First, they came for the clowns and took their wigs, but I didn’t say anything because I’m not a clown...
oh fek, that was good...
Somewhere in the story....they said that they provided “counseling” for the guy relieved of the wig. What kind of counseling do you think he got?
Vidor doesn’t need clowns to be creepy. That place is scary enough already.
Thanks FRamigo!
...but I didnt say anything because Im a mime.
A mime is a terrible thing to waste.
Oooooo! Excellent!!!!!
“....they said that they provided counseling for the guy relieved of the wig. What kind of counseling do you think he got?”
I don’t know, but I’ll bet it ended with the words, ‘ever again’.
Stop! You’re killing me! ROFL!
Noooo. You too?
Down a few paragraphs, it says, “Officers had walked into the area of one location to attempt the locate one sighting only to find the neighborhood was out looking as well.”
Vidor has had the worst reputation for redneck citizens and cops of any Texas town I know of. For years after the Civil Rights Act (and maybe today for all I know)no black person EVER lived in Vidor —or was found there after dark if he knew what was good for him.
If you were some kid pulling a prank in a clown suit and the neighbors were out looking for you, you can bet they were strapped and carrying baseball bats.

Geez. Thanks for the warning. I’ll make sure to steer clear of Vidor in my Texas travels.
It’s actually hard to get to it. One road in and out i think.
