A leading #NeverTrump radio host is pulling the plug on his Wisconsin show, citing age and retirement plans to explain his departure from the airwaves by end of the year. “This morning, I announced that I am stepping down from my daily radio show on WTMJ at the end of this year,” Charlie Sykes said on his website.
I know that lot of people will assume that my decision has something to do with this current campaign and the rise of Trumpism. But, the reality (as my friends and family know) is that I made this decision a long time ago. Twenty-three years is a long time to do a radio show and most hosts don’t get to go out on their own terms. So I’m lucky to have had that chance.
But he’s not quitting politics, or his opposition to Donald Trump.
It would also be fair to say that this campaign has made the decision easier. The conservative movement has been badly damaged; obviously the conservative media is broken as well. So this is a good time for step back, sit down for a while, and ask “What the hell just happened here?” … I plan to spend much of the next year working on a book about the crackup of the conservative movement. My working title is “How the Right Lost It's Mind"

Too late. My husband and I were loyal listeners for YEARS! Haven’t tuned in since the anti-Trump crap started. Good riddance. What a way to go out, but he did it to himself, so I have no pity.

Levin should have come around when Trump clearly had the nomination sewn up, and certainly by the convention.
He did neither, though he did grudgingly state that he’ll vote for Trump.
But what difference does that make, when the guy continues to use the power of his nationwide broadcast to weaken support for our candidate?

Easy, sit down, here's what happened. After years of electing conservatives into power, including an entire congressional majority, with nothing to show for it,No. You sit down. You're an apologist for phony conservatives that have screwed us over for years to the point of almost destroying our country pretending to be "conservative" and frankly you aren't any better.
Those who are able to observe and nudge Trump and many of his followers toward the conservative position in a winsome way serve a vital role and I cheer their success.You being the holier than thou "conservative" and all.

You hold out more hope for the guy than I do. I’ve completely written him off as a bad investment of my listening time and personal loyalty.
Mark has taken on the color of the enemy, yet still expects us to treat him as a compatriot. He’s doing the same kind of damage to our side as the leftstream media, but we’re supposed to give the turncoat a pass. I won’t do it.
