Julian Assange canceled a dramatic London balcony address on Tuesday in favor of a video presentation in Berlin after WikiLeaks developed "specific information" regarding Assange's safety, the leaked emails clearinghouse tweeted on Monday afternoon.

Some believe the video announcement by the WikiLeaks founder could be an "October surprise" geared towards the U.S. presidential election. Supporters of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump have said they believe the announcement will be damaging to the candidacy of Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Glad you said what I was thinking. Seems odd to announce it there.

Clinton’s suggestion that they do a military drone strike on Assange because he is a “soft target” - speaking tersely after the people in the room laughed at her initial suggestion - is something EVERY PERSON IN AMERICA should be made aware of. These people think they can use the military to kill innocent persons at will, whenever it is convenient for them. Hillary displayed that to everybody in the room where she made that suggestion. They all know she has the mind of a murderer, with nothing to inhibit whatever murder is expedient for her purposes.

Hillary is willing to use the US military as her own personal assassins.

THAT should be front-page news. THAT should be aired on commercials during the TV shows that all the low-information voters watch. They think cops use unreasonable force now? Wait until the feds control all law enforcement and have the mind that you just drone-strike whoever is inconvenient at the moment... Surely even the low-information folks would have to realize this is bad stuff...

It took 2 hours for the police to show up when there was an attempted break in to the Ecuadorean Embassy? Odd...there are several policeman stationed there 24/7 to make sure Assange doesn’t make a run for it. Were they the police who stopped the break in?

Actually, they use 999, rather than 911 in Britain. Wonder what they use in Paris. Was Kim Kardashian dialing 911 frantically and just getting an operator stating that number is not in service???

Well, hasn’t Obummer issued one of his executive orders allowing him to kill Americans at will. Someone needs to tell Hillary that did not include Aussies.

Prepared for the eventual letdown (as in, it won’t amount to much for this election).

I agree. If it were really “devastating”, they wouldn’t have to hype it up so much. I don’t expect anything worth staying up for.

Originally, there was a lot of talk that Ecuador would grant him status and allow him to enter Ecuador. At some point, they were talked out of this (maybe the US made a comment to them).

I just read it was for four sexual assaults that he was wanted.

I have no idea if it’s true or not.

It’s a bunch of BS. A female fan of his who hosted him for some talks in Sweden and voluntarily slept with him retroactively decided it was “sexual assault” after he went and slept with another female fan during his trip.
