Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.
The 1995 tax records, never before disclosed, reveal the extraordinary tax benefits that Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, derived from the financial wreckage he left behind in the early 1990s through mismanagement of three Atlantic City casinos, his ill-fated foray into the airline business and his ill-timed purchase of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.
Tax experts hired by The Times to analyze Mr. Trumps 1995 records said tax rules that are especially advantageous to wealthy filers would have allowed Mr. Trump to use his $916 million loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income over an 18-year period.

I did see a report on tv though. Odd.
A hit piece pure and simple. All the “news” that fits our agenda, any time and anywhere we want, is their motto. The NY Slime is a worthless piece of crap.
From the piece you posted.
“While the Terre Haute police have yet to name any suspects in the inferno, an eyewitness to the fire said he saw a person in a yellow pantsuit with black trimming fleeing the building moments after the campaign headquarters caught on fire.”
Come on, it’s obvious satire.
Yup unlike Hillary, Trump would be in jail.
Trump should say no more than this .... just repeat it and be done with it.
FORBES new investigation into Trumps wealth pegs his fortune at $3.7 billion, down $800 million from a year ago. A softening of New York Citys real estate market, particularly in retail and office, where valuations are trending down, has diminished his estimated net worth. New information was also a factor. Of the 28 assets or asset classes scrutinized by FORBES, 18 declined in value, including his trademark Trump Tower on Manhattans Fifth Avenue, his downtown jewel 40 Wall Street and Mar-a-Lago, his private beachfront club in Palm Beach.
These are the guys who decide who is on the Forbes 400 and they do extensive work to ensure the list is accurate, from their point of view.
Bottom line is he is still friggin wealthy....
Oh, and all wealthy people take the same approach to taxes pay only what they are required to “Under the Law”.
This article is scam and seeks to promote wealth envy. Further, they shade their entire article with colorful language structured to demonstrate Trump is some kind of crook.
This guy is under unbelievable scrutiny and if there was a “There” there, it would have come out long ago.
I notice they don’t delve into the Clinton’s, which demonstrates their bias.
I don’t give a damn about Donald Trump’s tax returns. He’s admitted in the past that he took advantage of every LEGAL deduction or whatever. His tax returns do not threaten the security of this country......but Wide-Load Clinton sure has with her flagrant law breaking email set up, making millions for the Clinton slush fund, lying like a cheap rug.....well I could go on and on........should I be worried about Trump’s tax returns? I don’t think I should.....

Donald Trump campaign on 1995 tax records published by The New York Times: ‘The only news here is that the more than 20 year-old alleged tax document was illegally obtained, a further demonstration that the New York Times, like establishment media in general, is an extension of the Clinton Campaign, the Democratic Party and their global special interests’ - NBC News

YOU just gave the finest volly back!
If we have to hear a bunch of “ain’t it awful” and hand wringing from the concern trollers, remind the whiners that in the debate TRUMP *said”, already, that he didn’t pay taxes.

More: ‘[Donald] Trump is a highly-skilled businessman who has a fiduciary responsibility to his business, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required. That being said, Mr. Trump has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in property taxes, sales and excise taxes, real estate taxes, city taxes, state taxes, employee taxes and federal taxes, along with very substantial charitable contributions’ - Trump Campaign via NBC News

The more writers the more lies an article contains.
So Trump took legal advantage of the tax code to lower his taxes?
Earth-shattering news! New York Times is scraping the bottom of the barrel.
They’ve got nothing. Its not even a hit piece.
And yet, Trump became billionaire. Too bad the owner of the NYT has to depend on a Mexican Billionaire to bail him out of damn stupid business decisions he made.
This is probably related to his casino. Some of the info has already been public. Not really sure what is going on here. How much is NY Slimes fairy tale and how much is new.
How did the New York Times obtain a citizen’s tax returns.
What right does the NYTimes have to publish information about a citizen.
So ‘fat shaming’ is bad but illegally obtaining and publishing a citizen’s tax returns is good?
A comedian wrote that. It is not true.
Yup - Trump broke no laws.
You gotta feel sorry for the MSM in that they’re in sheer panic and everything is backfiring on them.
Nothing sticks to Trump. And this is yet another reason why Americans don’t trust them.
Trump has smart people that know what their doing. Don’t worry.
(I decided not to buy the truck.)
