If Levin would hold the Republicans in general to this standard, he might have some validity. Instead, he keeps dissing Trump for not doing or saying he is going to such and such because it is constitutional.

Levin has been crying for ages for "a new Republican party." Curiously, he never quite explains what his version of a new Republican party is. Trump has done more to expose politicians in both parties, and Levin complains that Trump has not said anything about restoring the republic. What does he think 'Make America Great Again' is?

Levin sees things through the typical political lense of politics. Trump sees things from the perspective of a successfbul businessman.

Levin is close to being a hypocrite.

Well said. What I got from the earlier years of Levin's program was Levin's idea of a New Republican Party would be a party or lead by someone who wouldn't let the Dems run circles around Republicans, a party who wouldn't talk with marbles in their mouth, someone who would fight, someone who would be pro-American not not pro-illegal, someone who wouldn't bow down to the Chamber of Cronyism, that type of stuff describes Donald Trump!

But Levin went unhinged in the primary and said we need to stop Donald Trump because Trump gave to dems and was pro abortion and would elect liberal judges and lose to Hillary. Now that was proven not to be true, we need a new Republican Party because of nationalism and fair trade deals are taking over the party. If Cruz said first he believed in "nationalism" and fair trade (like Reagan was), Levin would be cheering Cruz on. Levin used to have a good show, but this election and his school-girl crush on Cruz has shown how nasty and manipulating he can be.
