Earlier this year when President Obama was searching for late Justice Antonin Scalia's replacement on the Supreme Court, Attorney General Loretta Lynch was reportedly on his short list of potential nominees. During the process, in which it quickly became clear whoever was nominated would not get a vote in the Senate before the election, Lynch withdrew her name from selection.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch has asked not to be nominated to the Supreme Court, a Department of Justice spokeswoman said Tuesday.
"The Attorney General determined that the limitations inherent in the nomination process would curtail her effectiveness in her current role," DOJ spokeswoman Melanie Newman said in a statement.
But now with the election just 39 days away, the rumor mill is swirling with chatter Democrat Hillary Clinton is planning to consider Lynch for the Supreme Court should she win the White House.
Theres been some speculation that Loretta Lynch, the attorney general of the Department of Justice, could be on Mrs. Clintons short-list. Mrs. Clinton already floated the idea to The New York Times in July, that she would like Ms. Lynch to stay on and serve in her administration.
If Clinton were to nominate Lynch to the Supreme Court, it would only bolster accusations of corruption and would put the private, secret meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton on her private plane just days before the FBI announced a non-indictment over Hillary's email server in July, into a whole new perspective.
Supreme Court aside, if Clinton wins she is reportedly planning to keep Lynch as Attorney General.
The Clintons never forget a favor....wink wink nudge nudge nowutimean nowutimean?
She’ll get filibustered. No way. No how.
The pieces sure fit...
Lynch needs to be “appointed” to a thorough waterboarding and a public hanging.
What about Eric Holder?
But, I’d admit, Loretta Lynch would be more likely, because she and Bill go back to when he appointed her as attorney for one of the Federal Districts in New York.
Possibly. Given the timing of the meeting, I suspect it had to do more with Killary’s nasty, illegal email scandal.
Minority female....not a single Pubbie will have the stones to vote no.
I can’t believe anyone is surprised by THAT
She meets hitlary’s hatred of civil rights protected by the 2nd Amendment
Just another reminder of how critical this election really is...
Probably - a hateful, lying conniving POS.
Not by the current spineless senate.
Katie. Get with the program. If you think this country will survive Hillary, much less, the Supreme Court, you are seriously trump-hate deluded
Her nominee would be Cheryl Mills. She is faithful to HILLARY! and ridiculously extremist, plus she is young.
Not to mention immunity deals for all things Clintanoid!
If Hitlery wins the election, Loretta Lynch is going to be the very least of our problems. Consider this: Hitlery wants to change the demographics of the country to that of California. Why? In just about every state right now, Hitlery and Trump are running neck and neck. All except California where she is TWENTY points ahead of him - 52% to 32%. No Republican will ever win California again, it is completely change. So she is going to open that border wider than Obamas fat head allowing everybody on earth to storm it. She’s also going to import millions of her personally created “refugees” from the middle east. The United Nations (of all things) issued a report last January stating that anywhere from 10 to 30% of these Hillary/Obama created “refugees” could be radicalized. So think of the possibilities here - She imports 3 million we could end up having 900,000 terrorists in the USA. An entire army. Ask me if anyone will give a damn about the Supreme court when we have terror attacks and mass killings every single day that will make 911 look tiny by comparison. This - woman - CANNOT - win - this - election. She is going to get a huge amount of people killed.
Right on! Weasel fit fits them all perfectly.
