FReeper Dale Reed has passed away

Received a message from his wife that Dale Reed has passed away. Dale was a long-term conservative activist and a FReeper since nearly the beginning of Free Republic. He was one of the founding members of our Southern California Chapter. Dale and his wife and several members from Southern California were present at the 1998 picnic and meeting in Fresno where our activism efforts through chapters were basically born.
Dale was a good man, a patriot and great supporter of FR and our conservative activism efforts and will be greatly missed.
Prayers for his wife and family.
May his soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear this, may GOD give his family the strength to remember only the good times and bear up through their loss.

One of the most honest men I’ve ever known. Straight and true. Dale was a talented contractor who helped me out when I needed it most. I will forever be in his debt. He was a loving husband, a real man and a great American.
