This just coming over the wire. A New Jersey Transit train crashed into a wall after entering the station in Hoboken around 8:30 a.m. It is unclear from earliest reports whether the train jumped the track, but according to live televised coverage by New York City Fox affiliate WNYW the roof over the passenger waiting area collapsed, resulting in serious injuries. The exact number and nature of those injuries have yet to be reported.
According to eyewitnesses, the train failed to slow down as it entered the station. One on-scene observer who witnessed the crash was WFAN anchor John Minko. he told reporters with CBS New York:
It simply did not stop. It went right through the barriers and into the reception area.
CBS further reports that images from the scene reveal “mangled metal, wires and debris scattered all over the floor.” A video posted by another individual who was present reveals the extent of the structural damage.

I commuted via Hoboken on my way to NYC for over a decade. It is the terminal nexus for most of northern NJ. When the track ends, the main area of the station sits perpendicular to it. I can’t imagine the impact of this irresistible force meeting that immovable object.
The roof is collapsed. I believe, without any proof, that this will turn out to be a terrorist attack. What else could it be?

I suppose it could me a mechanical malfunction or operator error. However, with all the fail safe mechanisms built in, my first thought was the same as yours.
We’ll know just as soon as they say there is no link to terrorism.
I have a bad feeling that this is going to be Islamic terror sabotage - it is the most plausible explanation.
It makes me think that operator error or intentional act are involved. Health crisis, drugs, unbelievable error, personal problems or jihadi, all would seem possible. Our prayers for the victims in any instance.

Depends what the train hit. If it smashed into a wall which held up part of the roof that could easily explain the collapse. If it hit something not supporting the stations roof then I would be more concerned.
I wonder what happened to the people involved in the NYC terror attack a few weeks ago? This is all out of the news. Who are the victims and what is the extent of their injuries? Do they blame Obama for his open border policy and his love of Muzzies?
