Rep. Trey Gowdy implored FBI Director James Comey to explain his agencys actions in refusing to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information when she was secretary of state.
What would she have had to do to warrant your recommendation for prosecution? the South Carolina Republican asked Comey during a House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday. Gowdy wondered what other evidence was needed to prosecute Clinton if all that had been revealed in the federal investigation was not enough as he grilled Comey on the question of intent.
Comey noted that intent could be proved by looking at whether a person did something they knew was wrong at the time.
But the way to prove that is whether or not someone took steps to conceal or destroy what theyve done, Gowdy declared. That is the best evidence you have that they knew it was wrong, that they lied about it.

That looks like one of the Clinton doubles on the right.
Comey is a filthy, stinking weasel.
Answer, be a republican.
Isn’t Gowdy retiring, not running for reelection or am I mistaken.
Her gaping maw is disgusting!
Perfect
I just threw up.
The law DOES NOT REQUIRE PROOF OF INTENT!!!
His first run-in came in the mid-1990s, when he joined the Senate Whitewater Committee as a deputy special counsel. There he dug into allegations that the Clintons took part in a fraud connected to a Arkansas real estate venture gone bust. No charges were ever brought against either Clinton..."
"In 2002, Comey, then a federal prosecutor, took over an investigation into President Bill Clinton's 2001 pardon of financier Marc Rich, who had been indicted on a laundry list of charges before fleeing the country. ..."

COMEY = CRIMINAL SCUMBAG
I think only one thing will happen.
After Trump is sworn in, he will call Comey and tell him to turn in his resignation by 9:00 AM the next morning.
If he doesn't, the House will begin impeachment proceedings.
Ping. Please.
‘The answer to his question is simple; she would have to be a republican’
Bingo. Have never been so disheartened and distrustful of so many in various parts of government...now the FBI. Sad and scary.
Good question tho!
I like how the director told Goudy one of the things they look at when deciding to prosecute, is the circumstances regarding other prosecutions. That’s a curious threshold. Under that requirement, for any new law, nobody can be prosecuted as first offender because there isn’t any historic precedence to consider. There is simply nothing this just-us department is going to do to hold this group of bad actors responsible.
then trey should go on the news shows on fox or oann, and say just that....he has no ability to prosecute, etc, and get the word out ......
Sweet.
This historical record you provide here and upthread Diogenis
reminds us the Comey family ties to doing the finances for the Clinton Foundation.
I mean, is that a thank you to Comey for past work in Arkansas that the brother, or whomever, gets paid and contracted to the Foundation?
Geeeeez, I give up. How cooked are we?
