Who "won" the debate? It's as simple as this.

Posted on 09/26/2016 8:12:52 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Those who are satisfied with business as usual will say Hillary won.

Those who want higher taxes and bigger government will say Hillary.

Those who think the Iran Nuke deal is a good deal will say Hillary.

Those who think trade deals like NAFTA and TPP are great for America will say Hillary.

Those who think inner city blacks and minorities have been treated great by the democrats and their socialist policies will say Hillary.

Those who think Hillary will appoint great judges will say she won.

Those who think Hillary can securely safeguard our nation's classified information and will secure our borders and our nation will say she won.

Those who think we need a complete turnover and want to prevent our nation from spiraling down the drain know that Trump won and must win the coming election.

Good point. And that’s what the next six weeks must be for.

Who “won” the debate is irrelevant. Clinton performed better, and was more polished. Trump missed some opportunities to undermine her, and will probably prepare more next time. But neither undermined their own campaign, nor did either “knock out” their opponent.

Clinton still comes across as an establishment insider, recycling the same policies. My wife used the word “condescending” to describe her.

I would be surprised if this debate strongly impacts the polling trends one way or another. Trump has gained because people do not like, no do they trust Mrs. Clinton.

Just my $0.02.

Yes — which is the other shoe to drop from a presentation of an apparently overly bright Hillary.

How can you be so SMART on the debate stage yet so STUPID when it comes to things upon which people’s lives depend?

I cannot watch Hillary for over a minute so I recorded in case something important happened.. I deleted the recording unwatched.
May this nation be saved from Hillary as CIC.

I think Trump is actually nervous to attack her too hard because of the so-called female “problem” he has, according to the media.

Anyone who wants Hillary to make supreme Court nominations has gone completely insane. That right their would destroy America forever.

The height of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect the results to change. Hillary is a prime example of continuing to do the same thing. The country does not want that, which is why Trump will win.

Right at the beginning, Holt introduced the candidates, they shook each other’s hand, then they went over to shake Holt’s hand.

He spoke to them in a very low tone, probably thinking no one could hear him. But I picked it up. He said, “Mrs. Clinton, good luck. Mr. Trump, good to see you.”

From the very beginning, his bias was showing.

I like the comment someone posted in another thread about it being a draw. Krauthammer made a good observation: Draws usually go to the challenger, and that is Donald Trump. Most know who Hillary is, and they mostly love or hate her. People know who Trump is, in general, but haven’t really seen him in a political setting.

She is most definitely being the witch.

In the face of witchcraft, patience and wisdom is worth more than the quick apparent smackdown, because that puts the game onto God’s turf. God is the master of time; the devil has to get his work done in a hurry because the boom is being lowered on him right as he speaks.

Trump survived, Clinton didn’t collapse. Now we will get days of media telling us how to think. Me, I think I will watch again tonight.

Trump did great! In front of God and the world, he got to drive it home that Hilary has lots of experience, but it is all BAD EXPERIENCE.
She came across tonight as Nasty and Empty.

Jim,
Brilliant. Better poll question is who’s mind is going to be influenced by watching some or all of this?
However, Trump is inarticulate on intellectual ideas. The last part of your post is articulate. He seems unable to articulate the wider philosophical issues because he is at home in the world of engineering, numbers, deal making, strategy, winning. He’s a man you can trust, but can he defend us on ideological grounds? No. But we needed a fighter, and he fought the roughest fight of his life tonight against these sweetly polite ivy league bullies.
I respect his passion. I understand his sense of outrage. He made it through with his dignity in tact. He pulled his punches by not speaking to what he must know about her health diagnosis. Smart move that didn’t go unnoticed by me...he has a good heart.

I live how he stuck around long after the debate was over to answer the media’s questions. As long as he is talking the MSM isn’t. (Or at most in short bursts)

Jim, you are of course absolutely right in what you have written about what is wrong with Hillary.

No question she would be a disaster as a president.

But that doesn’t mean she didn’t clean Trump’s clock in this debate. She did.

I can only hope that Trump takes a lesson from this and comes back better prepared and more controlled in the next two debates.

The fact that Trump somehow got on defensive the majority of the night is a crime against nature.

Hillary’s life history of known lies, corruption, and incompetence STILL is unknown to most voters after a presidential debate.

In a debate, if a candidate fails to expose her to America, the way he did in an early speech after he won the nomination, it is a loss.

Well, I live in the high desert and the whole neighborhood could be heard screeming.

BTW, I do not think that Trump won it, but he did not do any harm. If anyone “LOST” it was the witch from her shitty cow eyed smiling and her constant stream of talking points.

She can go back to sleeping now hanging upside down in some cave somewhere.
