From childhood, we have had ingrained in us that in order for interactions between people to work, especially competitive interactions, everyone has to follow the rules. The reason we have rules is that we have people, and people are sometimes dishonest cheats. The rules are put in place to prevent the dishonest cheats from winning unfairly, because they are despicable thieves who would steal what rightfully belongs to someone else.
Nobody likes a cheat, except perhaps other cheats or those who stand to share in what the cheater steals from the honest participant. That is, nobody with an ounce of integrity, understanding the inevitability of chaos if half of all participants in an event are permitted to cheat, would agree to participate. Therefore, any system which is premised upon rules requires that independent arbiters, acting without bias and favoritism, intercede to enforce the rules so that each contest is determined by merit, rather than fraud and intimidation. This is called integrity.
Unfortunately, when the referees belong to the same organization, or team, as the half of the participants in an event who cheat, the system is no longer effective. Indeed, when the half that cheats has become so comfortable with cheating and lying and stealing that they have no reason or intention to stop, because there is no cost to them as long as their cronies remain in charge, the risk is that the rule-followers will never again know what it is like to have an event in which they have any hope or chance of not only competing, but sometimes winning.

Some times the real game is played out in the parking lot. No rules, no refs, best man wins.
thought he was discussing Duke basketball when he noted the refs belonged to the same organization!
After the fiasco at that “forum” a couple of weeks, or so ago where apparently Lauer tried to do the right job this upcoming “debate” is going to be so rigged for Hillary it will be very obvious.
Personally have no intention of watching. I cannot stand watching that bitch. I have total confidence I’ll find out who came out on top after the debate.
Save you time and trouble. Trump will mop the floor with her. MSM declares Hillary “winner”.
First question to Hillary: “What is your favorite emojii?”
Hillary answers this well.
First question to Trump: “Your statements on the economy betray your lack of experience. Based on your past ridiculous statements, why should anyone take you seriously?”
Trump answers this well.
Second question to Hillary: “Can you explain what you want to discuss with Putin?”
At this point Hillary goes catatonic and must be carried off stage on a stretcher.
Media takeaway: Lester Holt cheated. He obviously supported Trump. This whole thing was totally unfair to Hillary.
No there is no affirmative action, inclusiveness, or diversity in basketball.
Yeah. EXACTLY!
Hillary will send out her double.
How will anyone prove she did it? Her supporters will lie like rugs about how healthy she is.
It’s the only way I figure she can survive this - she’s just too sick to actually show up. She’ll collapse.
Not trying to change your mind, but just want to note that I will be watching. Fearlessly. I can’t stand her, either, but I will watch for a multitude of reasons. Pretty high on the list is to see whether she has a health “event”. It will be interesting to see if she freezes, if her handlers rush in to inject something, if her eyes don’t track, etc. Will she last through the full 90 minutes? Will she even show up at all?
I’ll be watching with a bunch of conservative friends and playing debate bingo.
I keep hearing about a double. Not surprised that she would have one, but I would expect a double would not be able to pass for her up close or speaking.
Related topic: Recent pictures of her show a HUGE and I mean HUGE range of butt sizes. How can one person possibly gain and lose that much weight in her butt so often and so quickly?
The baby got back
