A witness has a picture of the police raid arresting the suspected Washington mall shooter.
She has identified him as Arcan Cetin.
Arcan Cetin's Facebook profile has his hometown listed as Adana, Turkey.
Interesting....
I'll point out that a lot of Freepers on the "live" thread last night while this situation was unfolding were insisting that the guy was a Muslim -- but I don't think a single person thought he was from Turkey. Most folks seemed to think he was Pakistani.
I'm not an expert on ethnicities, but I think I'd have an easier time differentiating a Pakistani from a Turk than a Turk from a Hispanic.
When you see many photos of people or see them in their native land you do get to the point where you can tell the distinctions....often times they can be subtle but they’re there.
This was the Macy’s at Fashion Island.
Interesting bit of trivia, they let you bring your dog into the store. They’re very dog friendly at that Macy’s. I haven’t tried it in any other Macy’s, but then I shop at a mall about once a year so it’s not like I’ve had a lot of opportunity. I only know they’re dog friendly because a friend worked there and she told me. So I brought my dog to the store and she promptly peed on the carpet in the lingerie department so that was the end of that. I couldn’t find anyone to tell about it so we just slunk out.
Someone guessed Armenian among other things.

It depends on your personal experience. If you live in the region, it is easier to make such distinctions.
That’s like trying to tell the difference between the africans.....there are distinctions but unless you’re familiar with their tribes it’s not always easy to discern...same with s.americans....
Looking at the new, clear pics now, he reminds me of people from the stans other than Afghan & Pakisatm.
I take it back after seeing more pictures. I was going by the first picture shown and he looked older. These last pictures do look like the same man. Plus a motive seems to have been discovered.

If he’s steeped in Islam or indoctrinated it won’t make difference....however I’m not sure this was a Jihad attack....could be a girl guy thing....since his first shots were at a womans makeup counter.

This is all true; and there are many examples of a white killing their girlfriends, blacks, Hispanics.
But it usually happens at home or elsewhere. It may not be Jihad per se; but I haven't read a story, maybe 1, where someone just unloaded in a place like a store and taking out 2 or 3 extra people trying to kill their girlfriend and yes, I guess a granma was involved too.
