In addition to being a bandleader, Henderson was one of the most prolific arrangers of his era. Paul Whiteman once said, “If Fletcher were white, he’d be a millionaire.” This is a good swing band rendition. You can hear the roots of Benny Goodman’s band in the arrangement.

We’re having a very good time and she really is enjoying seeing family for a change. I’m sure she feels isolated way off like she is. And they are making her feel so special!

We went to a wildlife refuge today to see if we could see some Eagles. We saw a nest or two but no birds except for a couple of turkey buzzards who had found something yummy on the side of the road :)

Good crowd, Tony made Meatloaf, smashed taters, beans,salad and a a store bought cake that was ok.

all proceeds went to VFW post

Tomorrow is hot links, homemade redbeans and slaw for free, all proceeds feed vets bellys
