“that is an endorsement”
I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.
Better late than never. I suppose we’ll see if he works to get Trump elected.
I moved to supporting Trump right after he knocked out Cruz.
But anyone should recognize it might take a guy longer to come around after someone and/or their supporters tried to muddy up his marriage and accuse his father of being involved in assassinating a president.
Thanks!
You’ve been here a long time, but I’ve never run into you before.
“There are still a lot of butt-hurt Ted fans out there...”
I’m not convinced that there are all that many die hard Cruz loyalists remaining.
Not saying he doesn’t still have some fans, but I think the NeverTrump contingent has dwindled to insignificance.
Thanks very much :-)
If you want to go there, we can re-fight the wars.
But after fighting the `rats, the `Republicans against Trump, the MSM and the nevertrumpers to win the nomination, most of us here, I suspect, would rather fight Hillary.
If Cruz is still having troubles with his marriage and father, he can save us all a lot of trouble revisiting those issues by going home and looking in a mirror.
**** “Welcome aboard the Trump Train, Senator Cruz” ****
Ticket please... There are no free rides. (and I used to be a Cruz supporter)
In all, it’s a great thing. I was just listening to Michael Medved, and he did not seem at all happy about the endorsement. He was saying stuff like “what does Ted get out of this endorsement? Nothing! “
“Trumpsters”
You mean Americans who love their country, and who will crawl over broken glass to elect the only person who stands between us and certain doom?
If you’re not a ‘Trumpster’, you’re a Clintonoid.
Are you a Mormon?
**** “Very strong endorsement for Trump from Cruz, so he media will probably ignore it as best they can” ****
Nope! They will point out just as I am about to ...
“He could have done this at the Convention!”
Cruz just pulled an ol Bartender trick ... “Lemme top off that (nearly full) Beer for you” before they empty their Tip Jars for the end of their shift.
“Previous,
Did you mean were there people not going to vote, that will now vote for Trump, because Cruz has endorsed Trump ?”
That’s Pravious - Previous is the guy who posted just before me (just kidding - it’s been a long day!)
Answer: Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. And, as a couple of posters have said, that does seem to be the case, so I’ll accept Cruz’s endorsement as a good thing since it looks like it will help Trump win.
BUMP
(dang I wish I would have remembered that)
*** “ But he sure left the Never Trumpers HIGH and dry today “ ***
Yep ... I am detecting/seeing a pattern.
To paraphrase Texas Ranger Augustus McCrae “He may be too Leakey a vessel to ever put much Hope in”
“But anyone should recognize it might take a guy longer to come around after someone and/or their supporters tried to muddy up his marriage and accuse his father of being involved in assassinating a president.”
I don’t recall EITHER of those things happening.
He did re-tweet an unflattering picture of Cruz’s wife (and apologized afterwards), but I don’t know how that could be considered muddying up his marriage. And the most I heard him say about Cruz’s father was “what’s THAT all about?” in reference to the photo on the National Enquirer cover which purported to show Cruz’s father with Oswald.
“Not so sure its too late but certainly so to make the difference he could have at Convention.”
Given the timing, I’m not so sure this isn’t the proverbial knife in the back with a smile.
Ted thwarted what could (and should) have been a great moment of healing on our side. That cost us, and made the job so much harder than it needed to be. He also provided fuel to the other side by pouring salt on our open wound.
I’m sorry, but I can’t forgive that betrayal, no matter how on-point today’s statement might be.
*** “Ill take it, but I see that he still cant say Trumps name” ***
GOOD EYE! I had not noticed that ...
What time is it? It’s `Beat Clinton like a kettle drum!’ time.
Finally.
Let’s make America great again. All of us.
