chreiber lives in the 5700 block of northwest Zenith Dr. where a search warrant was executed. Evidence collected at the house linked him to the fire that occurred late Sunday night, the sheriff's office said.
"An arrest in this case has been made just 65 hours after the fire was reported. He was picked up when he was walking on the street," said Chief Deputy Garry Wilson of the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
An examination of Schreibers social media account also shows multiple anti-Islamic posts and comments, the sheriffs office said.
Schreiber was charged with arson and Floridas Hate Crime Enhancement will also be applied to the charge. That means if he is convicted he could face a maximum of 30 years in prison. The FBI is also seeing if there are federal charges to be filed.
The sheriffs office says he qualifies as an habitual felony offender and could ultimately be sentenced to life in prison.
Investigators are checking Schreiber's workplace and the site where he was arrested, which was the 100 block of Depot Drive in Fort Pierce.

Oh no! Not the dreaded "Hate Crime Enhancement"!
“The sheriffs office says he qualifies as an habitual felony offender...”
Then, pray tell, WTF is he doing out wandering around freely, in the first place?
Oh, wait...Hillary! Clinton. Never mind. ;)
Is this one of those, ‘Love the Sinner Hate the Sin’ sort of conundrums? *SMIRK*
If you burned a Nazi party building in 1937, would that be a Hate Crime?
He was previously convicted of armed robbery and other crimes, so he probably belongs in prison.
What’s up with Port Lucie, anyways?
Why would it be a hate crime, then or now?
His “anti-Islamic posts” are just the truth. Go to his Facebook page and see.
Thats the question.
The Muslims are clearly no different from the Nazi party.
I wont bother pointing out all the parallels.
But people who violently opposed them in the 30’s are now regarded as heroes, not felons.
So history will tell us who wins but is it a crime to hate organized gangsters operating under the guise of religion?
Two to five in prison; Five years probation.
Just my prediction :/
I guess when a mosque is set ablaze it is a hate crime but when a lot of unarmed people are gunned down in a gay night club as the shooter yells “allah ackbar” (personally I think he was looking for a snackbar or something to eat) that is just mental illness. Well Islam is certainly a mental illness. It founder had all the signs and symptoms of epilepsy, suffered from audio and hallucinatory visions, went from extreme emotions at the drop of a question. Their founder would go into convulsive fits when he had a “vision”. Thought he could see the djinn, shaitan - the angel of light, heard angels speak god’s voice through them, and went on a magical ride to negotiate how many times a mooslime would conduct pryaers during the course of a day. He would fume and turn red when asked a question about Islam and subsequently have that person “disappear like jimmy”. Then sit back and eat his 72 white raisins. Islam’s founder was mentally ill so yeah it wouldn’t be a wonder that his followers be of the same ilk.
>>If you burned a Nazi party building in 1937, would that be a Hate Crime?
It might have been at the time. The dangerous part of being a patriot is that when you are doing patriot stuff, you are probably a criminal, traitor, or terrorist. It’s only after you win that anyone considers you a hero.
So I guess this is proof one good deed doesn’t offset a multitude of bad deeds. How many more would he have to burn down to make it even?
We're a country of laws here - burning people out is NOT part of our legal system.
So, what a conundrum for a liberal to decide on!
Do you love the arsonist because he attacked a religion that kills homos?
Do you hate him because he burned a place of worship that just happens to hate homos?
What would an atheist homo say about all this!
Is that like don’t like the lying satanic religion of Islam..
“We’re a country of laws here - burning people out is NOT part of our legal system.”
Well, if our legal system were working, people wouldn’t be resorting to this...
“We’re a country of laws here”
Funny.
