FReeper smoothsailing (Rusty) has passed away

Mrs. smoothsailing contacted me today to relate that longtime FReeper smoothsailing passed away yesterday, 9-13-16 of pancreatic cancer.
Smoothsailing will be missed here at FR, he was a staunch conservative, a true patriot and a gentleman.
He was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Pennsylvania. On his homepage he said "I'M A DAMN PROUD VIETNAM VETERAN" and he surely was.
Rest In Peace, my FRiend. One day we'll meet on the other side.

I am heart broken.
I’ve been checking his FR page looking for posts because of inactivity ... I had NO idea he was sick ... with cancer ... no less.
I’m on my knees ... praying ... for his sweetest soul. Rusty was a true American Patriot with such a wonderful sense of humor and a good friend to all. Beloved FRiend.
I need to sign out for a while.
