A political action committee is looking to figure out whether it can safely use the Internet to support national political candidates, or whether the Federal Election Commission might seize the opportunity to impose the kind of regulations Democrats have been striving to attain.
The request for an advisory opinion, filed on behalf of Citizen Super PAC, asks the FEC whether it would be permissible to email supporters of a candidate's campaign, or whether that would cross a line prohibiting coordination with candidates.

How is this not a violation of the 1st Amendment?
I'm sick of these tyrants that hate free speech.
The FEC- another Star Chamber “commission” that needs to be abolished.
When they cant win the game, they try to change the rules of the game and dilute the referee pool (with illegals).
Just simply do civil disobedience.

I know it's a bad joke, but you'd think most of the people in my office would get it. They're classical, low information voters, and not well read at all. That's the federal gubmint of 2016.
Oh, good for the Feds. I have all the ruling needed in Amendment Number One.
I am an idiot. Please explain the joke to this idiot.
You aren't an idiot, SoFlo. It's a bad joke, as I said. The Hatch Act prohibits politicking by federal workers on the job. So if I say something about either candidate, good or bad, that would be a violation of the Hatch Act.
This is why I don't give up my day job...lol.
Right, now that Congress obviously intends to support Hussein Obama’s turnover of the internet to the United Nations (globalist front).
Maybe it’s high time they have it explained to them during their regular meetings, or have reminder posters made and taped to the walls.
During the last election, I know of govt employees who wore obama hats, T-shirts, buttons during the campaign and were not told to remove them.
I don’t live in the territory of the United States, so how dare they try to impose their jurisdiction on me. This may be an act of war. Like interdicting a ship at sea. (that rhymes).
Abolish the Federal Election Commission. Having it at all defies the First Amendment.
whether that would cross a line prohibiting coordination with candidates.
Does this say that Organizations are Prohibited from Coordinating with Campaigns??? It does Right??
Then WHY IN THE HELL IS CBS,NBC,ABC,CNN,MSNBC Still on the AIR?? Why aren’t they ALL IN JAIL???
Can Trump reverse this? Silly question. I would imagine not.
what a nightmare.
Ooooh, I see. Kind of like the old Steve Martin “ Plumber’s Convention” bit... check it out.
