They recite the Pledge every show this tour. This is a gimmick for their current tour called “Freedom to Rock Tour”. I don’t believe the Pledge belongs at a rock concert.

Then, don’t go to a Kiss concert.
Perhaps you would prefer a Dixie Chicks concert. Pretty sure you won’t hear it there.

I see nothing wrong with the Pledge being said at ball games, rock/country or even Polka concerts. It’s said at races, some churches, some schools - I have no problem having it said at any gathering. If you don’t want to say it; stand respectfully and remain silent.

Disrespect the pledge, and expect to be disrespected in return.

I do, and kudos to them for doing it.

The schools are teaching them. Let a rock band do it.

Someone needs to.

It’s cool to respect your nation! They influence a lot of people, and in this instance for the better.

“I don’t believe the Pledge belongs at a rock concert.”

Why? It may be the first time since grade school some of the audience members have placed their hands on their hearts and recited the pledge.

Do you find that offensive?

Or maybe their current tour title is all about freedom since apparently they have been supporting the military for quite some time. NOT JUST on this tour.

Did you even watch the video and read the entire piece?

"...but for Kiss, moments like the one in Worcester are part of a long line of patriotism on the part of the band. For the last several years, Kiss has donated $1 of every ticket sold to the Wounded Warrior Project, and in 2011 alone, they raised half a million dollars.

"Kiss has included patriotism and tributes to the U.S. military and veterans for years as well. I've found clips on YouTube dating back as far as 2004 in which Stanley and the rest of the band show their love for the red, white, and blue and the men and women who have fought to defend it."

Consider your tour gimmick theory thoroughly debunked. Not to mention a tad offensive to some of us who read the piece in full.

Son saw them Sat.night and they did the pledge. The crowd loved it. AFAIC the Pledge of Allegiance is acceptable anywhere.

I don’t believe the Pledge belongs at a rock concert.

If you love and honor this country then the pledge belongs any time and any place on this soil.
